Slow start to the day, but I did manage to start an active thread on twitter about bitcoiners who like tools. I've been acquiring tools for over a year now for my career change to the marine services industry, as part of my dream of starting or working with Bitcoin Boat, a floating think tank that travels the world to explore bitcoin culture and spread the good word/works.
I'll also David Croisant from Start9 as a special guest on my weekly Saturday Night LIT podcast tonight at 8:30pm Eastern Time. As I dip my toes into self-hosting, I figured I'd get one of the movers in self-sovereignty tech to hold my hand a little.

SN should have topic tags/groups so users can find what they are interested in easier. Also users should post more non-bitcoin related topics.

i find it weird how there's such a lack of extremely quiet home miners given how big the bitcoin space is.
i get the capital cost like r&d and prototype are expensive, but all I can find is either apollo miner or usb miners.

There's just a huge graveyard of companies who have tried to do variations on home mining. I suspect someone will eventually come out with a home immersion miner and that will do well

If kWh prices don't come down I find it hard to see how can anyone make home mining at least break even unless you happen to live in Russia or Venezuela.

I think quite a few of bitcoinerd won't mind if it doesn't break even, it's just a way to make mining more decentralized and accessible.
The Apollo miner don't consume a lot of power, the running cost isn't that high, I can just run that off a small solar setup.

Tonight: Saturday Night LIT 8:30pm (also on LIT podcasts)
Tomorrow: Bitcoin Brunch
I expect to spend a lot of today preparing for tonight's show, since my cohost doesn't wan't to produce any content, but he does produce the show, which allows for the content at all. Last week we went LIT for the first time, and got at least one live boost.
Other than the stream, you can only catch us live on Curiocaster and Podverse, but perhaps we'll go live in youtube, &c. eventually.

If they can't fix their own car, or plumbing, etc. then no. They're the top of one particular food line, but not all of them.

Yes, but also think about this: developers cannot /will not build solutions if they are not inspired or approached by content creators, people with ideas (that they do not have coding skills).
Also devs if they build a solution but nobody is using it, all their work is in vain.
So is like a chicken and egg playground.
Plebs stay strong together.
