Something strange just happened. I'll do a bug report if it happens again. I posted a link post in bitcoin territory. When I checked it a while later there were two identical posts. I figured I messed up and posted twice, so I deleted one of them. This action caused both to be deleted. Then I realized that both posts had been zapped the same number of sats and had the same reply. Any ideas what might have happened?
pull down to refresh
I created an issue for this. It sounds like we have an issue with our "storage" on devices creating the appearance of a duplicate.

I also saw it, too.
I commented on the first one, then the second one to ask what happened.
Did you end up deleting both of them?
I only clicked to delete one, but they both disappeared.
Interesting.
Something I will have to keep in mind if I ever decide to post.
I had a few errors before from replying, k00b figured it out though.
It's been happening a lot but it seems that they aren't double post but 1 more identical post while going to recent after posting.
Sometimes, while looking at the top posts, I also see two same posts one after the other. If you zap both then you actually zap one post twice which is amazing.
I haven't seen it before. I'm glad to know I'm not going competely insane yet
You've never been insane afaict.
I just didn't report it because when I refreshed the page, it sorted out.
I guess it was a post that was shown on two pages. We're aware of this bug, I think it only happens between pages if ranking changed.
edit: Oh, guess that wasn't what happened here: #780107
Yes, you're right. I've always seen them for the posts sitting somewhere in the middle, mostly after 10-15 posts.
It should only happen for posts at the end of a page:
Yupp. That's what I actually meant. It happens exactly there.
For me, it only seems to happen after I hit the "more" button on the bottom.
Right, and someone also noticed it with replies.
Was it after clicking
morethat you saw two of them?No
Yes, that's when it happens for me, that I recollect.
It hasn't happened to me with posts, but it has with comments. I also thought it was my mistake, but after the second one I realized that it's something on the page.
I also saw a similar post someone made, and I experienced this myself when posting a news article in the Science territory. The post went through, but the option to post with the link appeared again. I was a bit confused, so I checked my profile and realized I was right—lol, I saved myself from posting it again.
