Welcome to the Saturday after Thanksgiving! I still feel stuffed!!

Someone was asking me about what a turkey dinner looked like. This is the plate of the turkey dinner with turkey, stuffing, rice, potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce and green beans.
This picture is a picture of the roasted turkey:
The turkey was good on thanksgiving and the next day. I look forward to turkey bone soup in the next few days.

I don't get the allure of reaction videos. I'd be curious to know who invented it or made it popular.
I shouldn't be the one to complain though, Korean public TV is basically celebrities reacting to themselves doing some cooking, eating, camping, etc.
reply
Reaction videos became popular thanks to Japanese variety shows in the 1980s, where celebs reacted to clips Online, Fine Brothers' "React" channel in 2010 really made them a hit.

I think it's not limited to Koreans.
reply
I guess that's where Korean TV got it from then...
As for online reaction videos, I guess there must have been a hugely popular influencer that started the game... maybe the videos of people playing computer games were some kind of precursor.
Anyhow, just a random musing.

Today I was able to enjoy one of the WOB 24 talks entitled Gold vs Bitcoin, for me it had to be Gold&Bitcoin. In this regard the panelists had points in common and disagreement, as is expected to happen between people who think.
Besides enjoying the content and laughing at other times, I understood something that for me could make sense. The future of the monetary system will be Gold&Bitcoin. Both with their strengths and weaknesses, even when it is suggested that when there is deflation due to the scarcity of money and consequently the economy stagnates. People always worked and received deflationary money until fiat money was established in 1971. So I don't think it will be different in the future.

So yeah I’m officially done with Sean. I sent my last sats to cold storage, but not after I got stuck with a $125 fee, however I never agreed to these terms nor transferred my account as they state below in the email they send.
“On or around November 22, Fortress charged Swan Personal and Entity accounts an “admin fee” for exiting to new platforms. The fee ranged from $0 up to $125 per account, deducted in USD or Bitcoin depending on account balances.”
And NO this is not having my back. Giving me my sats back that you had no right to take is!
“In the meantime, Swan has your back, as always. As a thank you for being with Swan, we are covering your Bitcoin buy fees, up to 2x the Fortress “admin fee,” in the first half of 2025.”

I'm sure few stackers see this data, but I'm bringing it up because I care. Analyzing the data in the graphs shows that the numbers are falling. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Is it the rise of bitcoin? Is it the content that is worse? Is it the algorithm? Is it the model? It's the people? What do you think are the main reasons?

  • less spammers and assmilkers, maybe?
  • me engaging less 😂😂😂 ?
  • stackers thinking more on my meme and realize that I am right?
reply
I don't always agree with your opinions and you're not always right, but I admit that you're often right, especially on medium/long term issues. I'm sure the numbers are falling because you engage less and put the spammers and assmilkers out of business! 😂

This is just the beginning. Also those using an ecash wallet for SN will soon see that they can get rekt quite hard.
Be careful what (if) you use as p2p SN wallet.
reply
I don't have my own node and I think I'm going to stick with it because it's so easy to use. I'm still not sure whether to continue with alby, since people have until the end of the year to join the hub. What's the biggest problem you're seeing with cc's? Fees? Forced closure nodes?
reply
What's the biggest problem you're seeing with cc's?
None. As you know I am a CC-maxi
For SN CCs is the best way to go forward, but they still do not want that and just play the scared chicken shit role, invoking the so called "MTL" bullshit.
  1. People are not ready to go full "p2p zaps"
  2. LN is not ready for such scenario like SN, especially at large scale
  3. SN will have much more to win using CCs than p2p zaps
Problems? Is simple: many people will get rekt in this process. Why? Because most of SN users are retarded. This is the hard truth.
Do you want people to not keep funds in a custodial account? Fine, very good. Make them pay, make them withdraw if it reach a certain limit.
