I still can't find one uber driver or taxi driver who knows what a 'lightning' wallet is.
What are they waiting for?
I personally think lightning is amazing... and I also believe it's easy to use overall with a little education and patience - however it's hard to 'get people there' unless they are natively interested in Bitcoin.
All these tools, wallets, apps, resources... they're great but do someone no good if they don't want to do the hard work and study why Bitcoin is special and how to use it. It's kind of a huge mystery
Few are more stuck in the matrix than those... Bitcoin & Darwin will come around at some point, until then helping those that at least have the guts to try getting out is the only realistic take I think!

I am kind of glad that not too many taxi drivers know how to handle a LN wallet. That means more sats for me.

I guess we're "early" enough that's the only conclusion I can draw

that's the mistake you are doing... you "ask" not teach how to use it.
