Productivity hack: In a Twitter search, you can do:
from:[TwitterUsername] filter:nativeretweets [search term or @TwitterUsername]
That will let you see if a Twitter user (or yourself) has retweeted a Tweet that meets your search criteria.
This comes in handy because sometimes I see a Tweet for an article (e.g., on CoinDesk, for example) and I kind of remember retweeting it but the current CoinDesk Tweet I'm looking at doesn't show that I've retweeted it yet. But maybe what I had retweeted was an earlier Tweet for the same article. This search command then will help me identify whether there were any Tweets at all that I've retweeted that match the criteria.
It only goes back seven days though. If I want to see a Tweet that I retweeted prior to that, the next best method is to use Nitter, and then do a browser page search for the current page and for each of the preceding pages until I find the Tweet i am looking for.
I streamed the Bitcoin conference in Amsterdam and I felt like I didn’t learn anything new. Same speakers same topics on the main stage. Either the content is getting stale or I’m an enlightened bitcoiner
I felt the same way, but only half watched it. My favorite was the talk from the folks at River about their node, then the talk with Sergei and Giacomo.
@k00b have you ever considered expanding SN into a TikTok like video sharing platform? It would be nice getting sats for sharing interesting vidoe content.
That might be an idea for another website. I am definitely under the impression that all existing websites, especially social media ones will have a version that integrates sats. And if they do it right, it may become more popular than the original. This place already has a wonderful community and a healthy culture. Adding the dopamine injection of 10 second videos will completely undo the intelligent insight SN users share with one another.
I'm not so sure about the tiktok idea, but I just recently did start thinking about SN expanding to a YouTube type site. I have just gotten into fountain, and I thought that the reward/payment model for podcasts would translate nicely into video. I posted a question to SN members about Lightning Video, but got no response. I really think that a bitcoin based youtube alternative is necessary, especially as people (like me) start removing themselves from any Google products.
To be honest, that sounds horrible (at first thought at least). Maybe because you mentioned TikTok.
This makes it sound like you are talking about recommendation systems; video autoplay; short attention span content.

You can already share interesting video content. Just post the link.
