I haven't seen it, but I read about it. I don't remember where, but the review made the case that this show represents the beginning of media companies embracing narratives with a more right wing, conservative perspective. Examples included highlighting onerous government regulations and far left climate narratives. I'm going to check it out.
I would say it's more neutral
it certainly doesn't glorify the oil business if you watch episode 1 plus more

I will watch it soon. I started Severance.

There is an element of that. Similar to how it was covered in Yellowstone but I think it is pretty measured and just reflective of the world these guys live in rather than being preachy. I can't stand when shows get left wing preachy so I wouldn't like it if it went the other way either.

I wouldn't want that either. Even handedness will stick out like a sore thumb nowadays. The point the reviewer was making was that there might be a viewer backlash against all the woke crap. Bottom line profits decision.

I definitely think there is a backlash against being lectured instead of entertained. It had gotten so ridiculous. Trying to inject political views in everything.

being even handed is a backlash in clown world
