That looks pretty sweet. They'll need more horsepower to lift the average American, though.
reply
They aren't realistically convenient. For $ 128k, you only get 20km ride for a single charge. Would you pay?
What I'm asking is for real alternative to cars or trucks.
reply
This is how tech progresses, though. Plus, there are tons of use cases for what you described.
reply
Not now as they won't allow you fly it everywhere.
I agree the tech progresses this way but it doesn't mean that we have them already.
If you consider drone to be a car, they are already here.
reply
Amazon was going to roll out drone deliveries several years ago, but the stupid state regulators shut them down.
That makes it hard to guess when commercial products that do this will be widely in use.
reply
state regulators shut them down.
people are just retards and will follow gov "policies"...
I wonder when people will say at a unison: fuck the state
reply
Thanks.
That's why I think it's not gonna be happening anytime soon. It's not tech or Science that cannot develop for it, it's the concern of public safety and rules about flying in the city.
Also, I think that the companies building it need to rethink about powering these cars by batteries. Flying vehicles require a lot of energy, a lot more while taking off.
reply
I'd certainly prefer a combustion engine, too.
reply
Yes, I too.
And also a bigger and cheaper car, unlike the jetsons, right?
allow you fly it everywhere.
i really do not give a shit.
reply
And, I bet your grocer will be cool with it too.
reply
Yes I would pay.
The distance to buy my groceries is exactly 10km. Enough for these "flying cars".
I do not give a shit about anything else.
reply
I can just imagine you descending into the parking lot in your fully black jetson, presumably blasting Vader's theme music from some speakers.
reply
"parking lots" are for pussies city boys...
I am NOT such a pussy...
I will use such "flying cars" to go from my wilderness place to the grocery shop to buy some beers.
reply
I was just assuming he had a parking lot. Land on his roof or wherever. Hell, you could even leave it running and just toss down a ladder.
reply
the conclusion is always the same: FUCK THE STATE
reply
Bitcoiners do not have to pay any "taxes for roads"...
FUCK 'EM'ALL we just fly
reply
We'd have these already if they'd stop building those stupid roads.
reply
stop paying taxes = more flying cars
