Was reading “The Logic of Life” by Tim Harford and came across knowledge spillover.
This term explains why people prefer to live in bustling cities despite high rental costs and other costs of living. Cities are hotbeds for interesting people, and the networking among individuals catalyses unique ideas and brings about innovation. This is also why ladies locate themselves in dynamic cities like New York City - to find themselves a good catch.
SN can easily be considered a bustling city, where people from all over the world congregate. The sheer diversity of ideas enriches our lives. Shouldn’t we emphasise this trait as SN’s unique value proposition, something that differentiates us from Nostr?
The emphasis seems to be centered on earning sats thus far. But maybe time-poor professionals don’t find that it would be worth their while to post their thoughts in exchange for sats. We might have more successful in building our tribe if we position ourselves as a hub of interesting ideas.
In fact, we can even have something like Pay to post. Where ideas flourish. With the introduction of CCs, we could use this to attract a new wave of Stackers who arrive at SN, expecting to use CCs in exchange for spirited interaction.
