People will be saying to each other, it's tremendous, like something no one has ever seen before.
They will be saying that only if what he does works for lowering interest rates and makes dollars stronger.
Tariffs and lower interest rates tend to cause malinvestments in the economy that have to be straightened out later, usually by what we now call a recession. I just hope we don’t get a repeat of the ‘30s. Remember the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act and what it did for trade and economies and the results in ‘38?

I agree. Please don't take my response seriously. I was just doing a lame Trump impression. Remember how he would brow beat Powell during his first term to lower interest rates? The stock market was his scorecard.

I know he is using a KPI kind of scoreboard for his targets. The problem is that he is trying to apply these methods to a whole economy and not just a project or a business. He was an ijit then and he is trying to be an ijit now.
I have to agree though, he is lame at a lot of points. Ijit!

Honestly, the country is fucked no matter how you slice it. At least he's entertaining.

He is, indeed, entertaining!
I just wish he would try to quit peeing on everything and calling it his. He might regret that habit later when the chickens come home to roost. He is acting just like my tomcat.

Does your tomcat ever exhibit signs of regret? About anything?
reply
I have never seen it. Oh, wait, I think I did see it once. When he was much younger a much larger tomcat beat the snot out of him and left him bleeding. He showed signs of regret then and actually stayed in the house for a few days.
