Now that they've been in circulation for quite a few days, I feel there's definitely a difference between receiving cc's instead of sats.
Obviously users without an external wallet are forced into a cc only world but I don't know what the percentage between wallet yes and wallet no is? I'd guess around 80% are wallet yes, maybe 90%?
Could there be a trend where, a stacker receives cc's and feels like, why should they be sending their valuable sats when they are receiving cc's 🤔 so they in turn start sending cc's, and so it goes on.
Stackers begin hoarding cc's, not for their value but for their ability to be seen to appreciate a post but without actually parting with sats.
The quality of a post is a factor aswell, a high quality post will attract sats as a reward of the efforts for the author, whereas a medium quality post may warrant a zap but cc's will suffice.
I've noticed the 1 cc zap, maybe I've read this wrong but it's almost like, I'm zapping you this one cowboy credit as a sign of protest at your post.
I actually don't know why I'm overthinking this whole thing but sometimes it's just nice to write out something.
Are people paying attention to their CC balances?
I just zap like normal and never seem to accumulate any.

I usually don't have more than 100 CCs. I think we should keep a few extra on hand, just in case the wallet messes up.

I'd be happy to have a few for exactly that reason, but mine disappear too fast.

Same with me. I didn't even explore the options. I rarely seem to get many.

Even though I get a few CCs here and there from people without attached wallets, they almost immediately get used up on posting fees, so it really wouldn't have made a difference for me if it was sats or CC's.
I feel like CC's should only be a problem for you if you start accumulating a lot of them and have no way of converting them to sats.

I don't get a lot of cc's anymore and when I do I just spend them arbitrarily or donate them to the rewards pool where they get converted back to sats.
For fun I sent you 100 cc's and 100 sats. Did it feel any different?

I'm on the fence 🤣🤣🤣 now if you'd have sent 99sats and 101cc's I could have definitely made a decision

All kidding aside. We all prefer to get sats but cc's are part of the platform now and they don't seem to be that prevalent. I might be getting a few hundred cc's a day and thousands of sats so it doesn't seem to be a big deal to me. If I have a couple hundred cc's I will just sprinkle them around zapping so I don't unload them all on one stacker and usually send 100 to the rewards pool.

Yes I've zapped the rewards pool your 100

Woo hoo. Now if you are super active today on SN you will get those 100 sats back and more.

But Credit Coins (ticker CCS :-) are actually sats. just temporarily trapped into SN. As I see it, they can get out of here when you use them to pay SN fees to post or reply and then get distributed as rewards (in sats) the next day, aren't they?
Personally, I prefer to get CCs for small amounts, instead of keep getting a lot of small transactions to my external wallet. So, while they last, I like them and take advantage of them that way.

my balance is nil, where the missing 3? thanks

Mostly agree.
I'm treasuring the sats received ("woaaah look at that, my silly shitposting or econ analysis got all those saaaats!") and sent ("good post, quality!"), but treat the CCs as a nuisance ("uhg, gotta get rid of them... Oh, which posts and comments can I dump them on?")

Sent you a mixture 😉

When you realize CC's are no different than Sats, you'll be okay. I receive a lot of CC's, but I don't mind at all because I have to pay for posting and commenting either way, whether with CC's or Sats.
