Getting them into it at all is a step in the right direction. I feel like once my dad has enough bitcoin to get afraid of losing it, I'll be able to better convince him to self custody.

Has anyone you known become more receptive to bitcoin recently?

I definitely notice an increase in interest. Family and friends think of me as the bitcoin guy they know. I answer lots of questions. That doesn't mean these people are becoming real bitcoiners. My retired peers want to know about the ETFs. My blather (to them) about self custody falls on deaf ears.  The young people want to hear about fast NGU and cashing out.
