I know one person (friend of a friend) who didn't get the covid shot because his doctor advised against it: he has a heart condition. His doctor was concerned about myocarditis being a side effect of mRNA/spike protein

My reason for not getting vaccinated wasn't political at all - at first. I got a flu shot 11 years ago which almost killed me. I got myocarditis as a result and was hospitalized for a week. I also have unrelated cardiac issues. My cardiologist, who is considered top of his field for my heart condition, tried to convince me that I still needed the covid shot. He engaged in some revisionist medical diagnosis by saying my past myocarditis had nothing to do with the flu shot, even though I fell ill less than 24 hours after the vaccine, and being told at the time (pre covid) that it was vaccine related.
