This is Blink, the everyday Bitcoin wallet.
We’re testing Stacker News’ bounty system.
If this works, we’ll spread thousands of Sats around.

Simple instructions for the first Stacker News challenge:

1.- Create a meme about Bitcoin and/ or the Lightning Network using this template →

https://imgflip.com/memegenerator/560312619/Blink-meme-contest-01

2.- Paste the result in the comments.

3.- The best one will get 15000 Sats.

You have ONE WEEK. The bounty will be paid on February 27th.

Everybody can send as many entries as he or she wants, but there will ONLY BE ONE WINNER.

Good luck to you all.

It’s meme time!

It's so good!

In the end, the winner was the most zapped entry. We're learning a lot here, and we're just starting.

People of Stacker News, thanks for participating! Your memes are great!
One question: Do you think the one week period is too long? It seems like Stacker News has a faster rhythm than we anticipated.

reply

I think that in even just a few days this post will be buried under all of the new posts.

While I have pinned it in ~memes, I don’t think many people directly come to the territory to browse posts.

I think maybe 3000 sats every day for 5 days would be a better value for Blink because it would likely get more engagement and also get Blink a lot more memes.

I like using a specific meme template though. It adds a nice objective to the contest.

reply

Thanks Jon! The 3000 sats every day for 5 days idea is great! We'll do just that for the next bounty.

It seems like yeah, the post is buried and we're not going to get more memes this time around. It was a successful experiment as far as we see it, though.

How is the winner selected? Most zapped by stackers?

reply

This time, Blink will select the winner by hand.

We are still working out the kinks, though. This is the first experiment.
Do you think it would be better to let the public decide by zapping for experiment #2?
It's a great idea!
