There's no doubt — at least not to me and to undisciplined — that after ~Stacker_Sports, ~HealthAndFitness has emerged as the most engaging territory recently. We've done extremely well in the last month by almost recovering our investment and till now we've got almost 4k comments. All is going absolutely very well as of now.
To make sure we keep on going this way — never losing steam and the engagement growing forever, I'd like to introduce a game/competition for stackers. But to confess, after thinking and thinking for quite some time, I can't find a way how we can implement a competition for everyone in ~healthandfitness.
There are, however, many suggestions in the comments like integrating a "workit challenge", step counts through a screenshot, a point system as I described in yesterday's club discussion thread. But I see there's one or the other problem with each of them.
  • Workit isn't or can't be on everyone's phone as of now. It's only an iPhone app.
  • Screenshot posting for steps is not everyone would be interested or may be the reward drives them. I'm just not sure.
  • My Points system can introduce an incentive to lie.
As you can see, all of these suggestions have their own set of drawbacks and we need to find a way out of them if we wanna up the game. (And, why not strike the iron when it's hot?)
So, to overcome this difficult situation, I want to go discreet about the reward and just do it at the month end by rewarding with sats our top contributors.
*(Basically, I'm suggesting somewhat similar to #893932)
However, to be clear, I'm open to any ideas and more tilted towards some kinda point system which we can go along and create some buzz surrounding it.
So, let's discuss and find a way out.
We also need to decide how much the reward can be and how we gonna distribute it.
Over to you
One idea would be to have a monthly reward for the top post in the territory.
I like the idea, in general, of rewarding our top contributors. Unfortunately, it's hard to get individual stacker metrics by territory. (Maybe that's something else for @SimpleStacker to work on.)

Sorry for the late reply. It was late at night last day.

Can we not do it manually by assigning points to top contributors daily?
The top post gets the +1 point The top comment gets +1 point
At the end of the month, the Stacker who has the most points wins the reward.
It requires a little effort of keeping record though.
reply
Yes, we can do that easily enough. It ignores our zappers, though, but we shouldn't make the perfect the enemy of the good.
reply
That's why I said manually. With that I meant we can assign the point to multiple or more points based on a specific criteria.
  • The best post overall gets 2 points.
  • The second best gets 1 point.
  • The best comment gets 2 points.
  • The second best gets 1 point.
We can also have multiple winners.
What amount of sats do you think would be a good amount for monthly reward?
reply
We should initially start it at something like 5k-10k. Long-term, it should be a fraction of monthly profits. That's similar to what @siggy47's doing with his ~bitcoin_beginners rewards.
reply
By this post I wanted to discuss about applying a sort of game/competition for the territory, but it's also not a bad idea. I think we should do the same as @siggy47's weekly newsletter for ~bitcoinbeginners. But we'll do it on a monthly basis. I suggest the top post gets 1k sats and other four get 500 sats.
We can also reward top 5 comments. 500 for the top and 200 to other 4.
There should be condition applied -
  • One Stacker can only get one reward, the highest will be eligible.
🫡 roger that!

Having fun?

Learning a lot. Working with the database is pretty tricky, but I'm hopeful to push out a territory analytics page soonish. Individual stacker metrics by territory would come later. Also k00b et al would have to be on board with the changes

4000 comments?! Wild!
Def a contest for ppl ~HealthAndFitness story like their ~Bitcoin story.

This is one of my favourite territories. I would like to find time to share my experience with breath work, and how increasing your CO2 tolerance can improve your health, focus, performance, and successfully help with pain relief.

You're most welcome 🤗

Just do the @Aardvark challenge. Everyone just admit that I'm the best, and give me all your sats. There's a 5k entry fee, and I can't imagine anyone not joining.

Ha! 😂 We aren't taking suggestions from the infinite diggers. But I admit you really digged deeper this time and flung to the real highs..
