Payments will be retried in the background two times so I suspect you zapped something again because you thought it failed but then the retry was successful. If a failed payment doesn’t show up in notifications, it will still get retried so I recommend only retrying from your notifications, not based on what you see in satistics.
Thanks for mentioning, that’s an UX issue. It’s not shown anywhere that we retry payments.

showed friends how to use robosats, they were amazed.
reply
Power user trick if you use Robosats on mobile. I've seen many noobs doing this mistake, running multiple Tor services / apps on the same device.
Do not run it in the same time on the same device with Blixt or Zeus behind Tor. It will mess up the Tor connections and Blixt / Zeus will not sync well. You could end up even with force closed channels if your connection is in trouble right when is about to receive a hold invoice.
You can run Blixt or Zeus in clearnet, there's no problem with that and also put them in persistent mode, while are you trading on Robosats.

People need to start somewhere as we evolve and expand on the adoption curve. Did you put all your fiat into Bitcoin after 5 or less hours of research?
reply
We don't need more people to "invest", though. That shouldn't be our goal.
Most people are going to put all their fiat into Bitcoin without doing any research whatsoever. Why? Because that's what merchants will be taking. That's how bills will be paid. It will be used as money. This should be our goal. When we achieve this, most people won't know shit about Bitcoin, they just know they need it to live. Same way they don't know shit about fiat, but they know they need it.
And I don't see us moving toward this goal whatsoever. The journey's first "single step" has yet to be taken. If we were taking baby steps on the journey, I wouldn't be so critical. But we aren't on the journey as @Undisciplined suggested a few comments up. We're still sitting on our couches, using fiat freely.

And yet, we're doing very little to "stop using their currency".
Bitcoiners as a group, on average, use fiat 99.9% more often than Bitcoin.
And don't give me that Gresham's Law and paying taxes bullshit..... It's purely laziness and a preference toward convenience.
2025, and even Bitcoin conferences are still posting their ticket prices in fiat. It's shameful AF.

be the change you want to see.
I'm doing exactly this. But it is 100x more difficult to do alone. If the entire community were trying also, the network affect would start making a difference.... the way it did in Bitcoin Beach. We need to be the change, collectively.
And which humans don't have a preference for convenience? Show me.
Look at every revolution in human history. The American Revolutionary War is one of my favorite examples:
From Benjamin Franklin's autobiography:
"The colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters, had it not been that England took away from the colonies their money, which created unemployment and dissatisfaction. The inability of the colonies to get power to issue their own money permanently out of the hands of George III the international bankers was the prime reason for the revolutionary war."
Bitcoiners have reason to revolt. And they're choosing convenience.
I'm ready to revolt.... but if I'm all alone in this, all I'm really going to be doing it making my life more difficult for no reason. I need others to join.

I think Bitcoiners use the fiat cash much more than they use any kind of plastic. That is at least a small step to privacy. Cash, even fiat, leaves no trails.
