I don't think BlackRock has done it deliberately. There was an article on FT yesterday that suggested BlackRock has been forced to involve in the deal.

I'm getting the impression that Trump was merely aware of the deal, which he heartily blessed, but that it was underway already.

"forced" seems a little much... strong-armed or bullied or influenced etc.

It was a strange throw-away line in the FT article, without explanation: well, ms. Journalist, how do you know that was the case, then? SAYS WHO?!

In Bitcoin (not too long) history was several peoples / institution / goverments who want to "control" it... but none of them succeeded... BlackRock will be the next on the list :)

well, it's not arrogance if it's backed up by competence. While I'm not exactly a fan in general (no MAGA caps around the house!), I'm willing to await the results before placing my verdict!

That's alright. Let's wait for the result.

(Him establishing a Shitcoin Reserve should be enough to prove his stupidity though.)
