wait for a good link in the group chat, then tell your friends you'll split sats with them if they make an account... then share their post. it's totally backwards, they could make their own post but this way you're holding their hand... awe, cute.
anyway, easy way to get free sats & doesn't require a wallet setup for them to get involved on SN.
I would recommend not using the forward feature in this case since it will result in CCs for all since there's no way to natively split a lightning payment using a single invoice.
We can fix that with requesting an invoice from each recipient but it might take some time till we get there.
Tell them this is the place where they con dive deeper into btc and other topics. A froum 3.0 they should try, anyways somehow they will finnish here. They should do their own way at its tythim.
There is some really good content on SN. Even for people not into Bitcoin. For example, I showed these posts to my wife and daughter and they thought it was super cool: #912329, #913452
I think increasing the visibility of good SN content on other platforms would be helpful. Let people discover SN naturally through many different channels.
Depends on their interests, but if they're into anything we talk about a lot on here you could try "Oh, there's a really cool forum with people who know a lot about _______."
side note: @ek@k00b I think there's a use case for a different "notification" scheme that just shows posts in subscribed territories separately from post notifications... different from reddit, but still an alright option given relatively lower volume of posts. I can make an issue for this design idea so folks can bicker about how to do it, I'm only just now putting thought to keyboard.
