It's that time of year again stackers. Time for March Madness.
The brackets have been set and first round games start on Thursday.
Prize pool will be comprised of buy ins plus all sats (minus fee) zapped to all posts relating to the contest.
Buy in: 1000 sats
Here are the contest rules:
Each round participants will pick one team to win their game in that round. There are no limitations to the number of times a participant may pick a single team. If a player's chosen team loses there will be no points assigned to that player for the round. If a player's chosen team wins that player will be assigned points based on the round value of the win and the seed value of the team. Each round will have an escalating point value assigned to a win and teams are seeded from 1 to 16.
Round value for a win
Round of 64: 1 point
Round of 32: 1 point
Round of 16: 2 points
Quarterfinals: 4 points
Semi-Finals: 8 points
Finals: 16 points
So, if a player picks a 1 seed to win in the round of 64 and they win that will be worth 2 total points. 1 for the win and 1 for the seed. A 2 seed winning would be worth 3 total points and so on. The participant with the most points at the end of the tournament wins the prize pool. If there is a possibility the contest may end in a tie, heading into the final game players will choose a tiebreaker along with their final game pick. Tiebreaker will be determined at the time of the final post.
If you want to buy in, please comment to this post and I can send an invoice or you can send 1k sats to stackersports@coinos.io (please add your username in a memo with the payment so I know who it is for). Buy ins will remain open until 12pm est on Thursday March 20th.
I will post the matchups and open submissions for the round of 64 tomorrow.
Good Luck!
