they will never know my real stash, where is located and how to recover it. Just bits of it. As I always said: if they are not able to obtain it from me while I am alive, it means they do not deserve it. So will get nothing.
Bitcoin must be obtained with Proof of work not with doing nothing. I worked hard for my BTC, so they should do the same.

Does your family know that? If so, have they exerted any effort into providing that proof of work?
reply
yes ofc, every day must do something to earn sats from me.

I meant as opposed to doing something like chores (proof of work), do they have to do something to prove that they are worthy to inherit your stack once you are no longer living?
reply
there's no inherit. just earn.

So, they're only able to earn while you're alive and once you're dead there's no more to earn?
Know what bitcoin is, know how to recover it and not sacrifice it for the sake of the fiat system.

Nice try fed. That said, I LOVE the Zoolander reference.

Just like the old saying of "Only you can prevent forest fires!"
I like to say - "Only you can take the steps needed to ensure you can obtain our families Bitcoin!"

I think in the end, the main obstacle would be understanding Bitcoin as a whole and not the finer details like signing a transaction.

Now that I think about it, I should teach my oldest son more about security. He knows I'm stacking... But he's not very interested yet... I mean, he's interested when the price of Bitcoin goes up and gets discouraged when he hears me say it's gone down or has pulled back...

Biggest obstacle is not existing. I plan to die with my coins. You are welcome.

The main obstacle - I'm not in relationships and have no kids

nothing! my nephew is a crypto dev and will get an automatic email with instructions. in fact, several heirs will each get a tailored last will this way.

I've made it quite complicated for my heirs. If it's worth enough money to them someone will figure it out.
Looking forward to a better security model with something like op_vault
