The Wim Hof Method doesn’t work well in tropical climates because:
- Not cold enough for a “shock effect” – The water isn’t cold, so the body doesn’t react strongly.
- Breathing creates heat – In hot weather, intense breathing can make you feel more tired and overheated.
- No brown fat activation – In warm climates, the body doesn’t need to warm itself, so brown fat isn’t triggered.
- Less sense of recovery – After training, you may feel drained instead of refreshed.

I practiced the Wim Hof method for a while and found that it is more suitable for regions with consistently low temperatures. In tropical climates, however, the method doesn’t seem to be as effective or appropriate.
