pull down to refresh

I practiced the Wim Hof method for a while and found that it is more suitable for regions with consistently low temperatures. In tropical climates, however, the method doesn’t seem to be as effective or appropriate.
Wow that's an interesting observation. Any idea why that may be?

The Wim Hof Method doesn’t work well in tropical climates because:
  1. Not cold enough for a “shock effect” – The water isn’t cold, so the body doesn’t react strongly.
  2. Breathing creates heat – In hot weather, intense breathing can make you feel more tired and overheated.
  3. No brown fat activation – In warm climates, the body doesn’t need to warm itself, so brown fat isn’t triggered.
  4. Less sense of recovery – After training, you may feel drained instead of refreshed.
