While I agree that hitting Bitcoin newbies with too much info at once can (and will) scare them away from adoption, self-custody is a crucial aspect of the Bitcoin ethos and must be the first "hard" knowledge impressed upon them right away. Also, citing Raoul Pal is never advisable in any pro-Bitcoin argument. He's chasing additional fiat wealth as quickly as he can, and pumping and dumping shitcoins is a better way of achieving this than hodling Bitcoin.
