The weather had been very nice the past several days, although it's starting to get hot as well, especially in the afternoon. Drinking a cold beer as I type this up. I guess that's not very healthy, but I do think the enjoyment is very healthy mentally. Was feeling quite tired today, maybe because my wife woke me up last night at around 2am because she had a nightmare and needed someone to talk to. I should really go to bed now. Good thing my friends are busy tomorrow morning, so weekly Saturday morning walks with friends are cancelled, meaning I can sleep in.
Today's stats:
- 150 push ups (3 sets of 50)
- 5km run at average 5:18/km pace
- Chickened out and skipped on the cold shower, had a nice warm shower instead. Will try to get back at it tomorrow.
- 15913 steps
With so many kids, I'd never have suspected the wife of being the one to wake you up in the middle of the night.
I just saw someone posting on nostr about the health benefits of minor alcohol consumption, so it's probably a win-win for mind and body.

3 is not that many. My kids are very good sleepers, so we typically don't get waken up by them in the middle of the night. At least not during recent years, as even my little one is 7 already, and the older 2 are 13 and 14.

Probably propaganda written by someone trying to legitimize alcohol consumption, haha. But I'll take it. I'll also show it to my wife next time she nags me about drinking.

I've also assumed small amounts of alcohol are good for us. It's a complex molecule that naturally forms in foods we eat, so our bodies should have found something useful to do with those trace quantities.
