I would also include Dogecoin to that list of contenders. Particularly after having used all of these altcoins extensively, I came to the conclusion that LN is superior as a day to day payment method. For example with bitcoin cash, almost all online merchants ask for at least one confirmation or more, that is terrible for the shopping experience, even bitpay has merchants asking for 1 to 6 confirmations. Meanwhile with LN it is always instantaneous. The biggest problem that LN may have that altcoins don't is the inbound capability. Many people are forced to use custodial solutions to avoid inbound liquidity problems. But suppose you can have a channel of 1000$ with Phoenix wallet and you can refill it every 15 days, You will be using the full non-custodial lightning experience and the shopping experience is completely superior to BCH or LTC. And Of course, by using BCH and LTC you are not getting the guarantee of having an ultra-hard asset like Bitcoin. Both have seen a loss of value over the years.

"Not get caught" selling bitcoins. (just because i don't want to). I think you need to relax a bit dude. Not sure if bitcoin world is the right place for you, robosats for example is only for TOR which is a privacy network.
