EVERYONE has something they can teach someone else.
Corollary: You can learn something from EVERY other person you meet.
I don't see the conflict - you spend what you need to spend, save what you're able.
Get two wallets, and use one as you would a checking account, the other use as a savings account.
Problem solved.
Seems like this was all "allowed" to happen--and then (as soon as the first shot was fired) the "lone" gunman was silenced.
"Case closed"
Depends on what you want to do with it...
One thing I'd recommend is using Tor for node connections (it's a setting -- you just have to turn it on) and then turn off the other options (e.g. clearnet connections).
I'd also recommend setting up Electrs and Mempool (so you can leverage some of the benefits of having your own Node).
Then grab a copy of Sparrow wallet and learn how to connect that to your node...
Those I'd say are good basic next steps...
I think relays remmain a "black box" - no idea how to optimize them. Somewhere along the way, Nostr will need some documentation and recommendations on this topic.
At the end of the day, you need to be true to yourself. What others think really doesn't matter...
You don't have to give up your friends though...just stay true to yourself. Respect everyone else's opinions, but be willing to articulate your own. If some can't accept your views, then the choice is theirs as to whether they'll stay friends.
(And truthfully at some point you may decide that your friends have some good views, and your outlook may evolve---but if you insulate yourself with only like-mided people, you also will remove some opportunites for personal growth).
Sit tight, stay true to yourself, and let the chips fall where they may....
WORST advice ever - your vote TRULY matters in local elections, and local elections influence regional elections, and regional elections influence national elections.
Vote, and make a difference in YOUR OWN community!
