My manifest destiny-inspired project is underway. I've been using geyser.fund as a journal to document progress. And the first composition is now available! Hope you dig it. Space the Musical
Earlier, I laughed. The idea of having a black woman this near to the presidency sparked joy.
Now, that the novelty has worn off, and I've listened to the commentary and considered the context, I feel not much at all.
The devotion with which we cling to that we have so obviously outgrown is shameful. I feel badly that we put that poor old man thru all this.
We need to grow up. And maybe stop being a democracy until we do just that.
I admit that I'm neither knowledgeable nor invested enough to be affected this deeply, but I appreciate that people are. Passion will sustain us until that we are passionate about is able to.
Find a reference on the horizon. I moved to a new city a few years ago, and quickly found the mountains are to the east. I never get lost.
Of course, this is more difficult in the larger cities. Usually, there's a major street that runs either E-W or N-S, if you're lucky maybe both. In that case, the direction suffix will tell you what quadrant of the city you're on. Also, street names tend to be sequential, either numbered or state names, for example. Good luck!
A friend reminded me of this song today. Written more for myself than public consumption when I was coming out of covid fog. Kind of pensive, but still a vibe.
Yikes. Someone's mad. Whoever was gaslit about Biden's capacity for leadership is not one to talk. The guy even refers to himself as "Jill's husband".
Lol people really have to start thinking for themselves bc this is crazy.
The luxury of thoughtful interaction is a fairly modern development, right? Before humans were intellectuals, we were just animals doing whatever nature dictated. At some point nature must have dictated that we evolve; outside of the necessity for a change in behavior an idea couldn't be.
So to answer your question, without ideas, we would just execute our natural inclinations.
I'm not sure those quotes represent opposing opinions. There's not anything to debate. Ideas are only thoughts about DOING something differently or novel. Action is necessary for ideas to exist.
