There's no reason it can't happen here as well.
The west is spending an enormous amount of money developing inefficient energy storage systems that'll never scale up.
Instead we should be over producing with renewables & Nuclear, using Bitcoin miners to soak up the excess. Far cheaper and easier to attach to the grid.
I'm not a fan of knee-jerk reactions. But something will need to be done about this at some point.
We've tried the "wait it out" strategy. They just come up with new ways to spam the chain
Your "sovereignty" ends where it infringes upon mine.
If I want to block degenerate NFT spam relaying through my node, that is MY right.
Regardless if he's guilty or not, the optics on this aren't good.
I'm pretty much convinced at this point the Democrats want Trump to win again. A deeply divided nation works to their advantage.
I'll probably always have Google Play enabled, but one less thing tied to it is always a good thing!
Glad my donation to GrapheneOS is going to good use!
Knowing how the stock market is basically run by HFT's, I wonder if such a "donation" could cause a cascading sell off?
I strongly disagree.
This is a fund traded on the public stock market. They have a fudiciary duty to protect those funds in any way possible.
If they get hacked, it'll give the SEC the reason they need to ban Bitcoin permanently. Not to mention the turmoil it will cause across the financial sector.
If this wasn't just a purely ideological policy, they would have mandated far more realistic hybrids instead.
I'm convinced they want us all dead, or enslaved to the state.
I also find it suspicious this Fedimint stuff is getting a ton of attention just as the SEC approves Bitcoin ETFs.
Smells like an attempt by the banking elites to manipulate the price of Bitcoin.
There's no reason a mechanic can't adapt to the changing market and accept Bitcoin as payment. Sure many of their bills will be in Fiat to start, but as adoption increases more vendors (and employees) will accept Bitcoin to escape predatory fees.
Until then it's a foreign currency like any other, can be exchanged at will.
