True. My point is that it would probably be expensive, where expensive means outside of their budget. Even if they are profitable, I cannot imagine them having the money needed to conduct this research. This means they would need an investor to fund this. Now, why would I fund them instead of a research lab?

Mitchell says there are designs similar to oil rigs. I'm not sure if it's used in the current project or just one of the possible options, but basically there are these huge columns that stretch almost to the see floor, which help stabilize it. He says in those types of designs you don't even feel the waves.
