I try to put in 3 runs a week. A 10km while I wait for my kids' art class, a 5km Friday night (which don't take too long), and a long run (15km+) Sunday morning, which is my day off work. I think keeping a schedule / routine helps.
I don't know how old you are, but if you were born in the 80s like me, you might remember the internet in the early to mid 90s. I'm seeing a lot of similarities with the bitcoin network in terms of adoption. A lot of question, doubt, and thinking it's all hype, all scam, especially after the dot com bubble. But then, look at the internet now.
In the end, if it's a good idea, if it's a superior idea, people will adopt it, because they want what's best for themselves. If you've experienced the slowness, control, censorship, and just the pain of using the fiat banking system, you will appreciate bitcoin so much more. Or if you're unbanked like nearly 30% of the population on this earth, you will probably also find bitcoin very useful.
Like Saylor says, "bitcoin is on a need to know basis". Many people in the States have access to a usable banking system and access to investments to maintain their wealth, so they don't need to know about bitcoin. But eventually, everyone turns to bitcoin. Like the sayings go, "We are still early." "Gradually then suddenly." "You get bitcoin at the price you deserve."
"An idea whose time has come is unstoppable." Your friends will turn to bitcoin when they feel the need for it. Just make it known that they can come talk to you and ask for advice / seek education when that need arises. Meanwhile, "stay humble and stack sats" my friend.
I slept in this morning and then went for a run after waking up. I also took a short nap in the afternoon. It was pretty hot today, but I was able to shortly escape the hot weather for about an hour and a half because I was at the rink watching my son's ringette practice.
Today's stats:
- 150 push ups (3 sets of 50)
- 15.5km run at average pace of 5:37/km
- cold shower
- 21016 steps
It's a nice little island. Nothing much to do there though. We like to drive to the beaches and just chill there. Because they have rocky beaches, the kids would flip over larger rocks and catch tiny crabs that dwell underneath to play with them.
Got some Joker vibe in there, very chill. Joker has his horses and Hansen got his PS5, bed, and food.
I think the Rockets will be awesome next season. I agree it was too bad they traded away Brooks as part of the package to get KD, but they still have plenty of great defenders, although not as annoying as Brooks. I'm going to be watching Amen Thompson, what a talented young man with exceptional defensive prowess. First All NBA Defensive Team selection in his second season and well deserved.
Speaking of Yang Hansen, did you guys catch this from his media interview?
I'm starting to like this guy already. Haha.
I think I'm on track to run the bitcoin price this month, provided that the price don't go on a crazy run the next few days. Sitting at 92.5km now. An easy 15km run on Sunday should do the trick.
Today's stats:
- 100 push ups (2 sets of 50)
- 1.5km walk with wife
- 5km run at average pace of 5:31/km
- cold shower
- 16056 steps

Oh man. Now your 2026 Raptors will be the Pacers prophecy will definitely come true. Just the version of the Pacers with a torn ACL Haliburton. Probably worse.
Still thankful he did his magic and brought us a chip.
I agree that cars should be kept in good shape so that they are less likely to break down on you when you need them the most.
I used to bring my cars to the dealership for service too, especially my Toyota Sienna, because it's the one that the wife use to drive the kids around. But ever since my long time friend opened up his own mechanical shop, he's been taking care of my cars. I know he does a good job and he always gives me very good prices (he calls it friends and family pricing). I just did the transmission fluid, engine coolant, and brake fluid for my 171k Sienna all for $450 CAD (309k sats).

Yep, still a thing after almost 20 years.

I think it was a very popular thing in the late 2000s in North America, especially amongst netizens. People seem to still do it, but maybe not as popular nowadays. But definitely an Internet meme / mind virus that spread and never fully went away.

Why do you ask that? I keep taking days off? No, work had not been too busy lately and I figure I've been overworking for much of earlier this year, so lately, I've been taking it slow when I can. I had to take a half day off for my son's graduation ceremony anyways, so I just took the liberty of taking the full day off.
Not working today and Saturday as well, because I wanted to run some errands and hang out with my kids. Back to work Monday. I guess running my own business gives me slightly more control of my time.
I took a day off work today, but it didn't seem to affect my step count too much. Maybe because I walked to buy coffee with my wife this morning. I was also walking around the tool shop to buy tools and supplies for work.
Today's stats:
- 150 push ups (1 set 50, 1 set 85, 1 set 15)
- box step for 20 minutes carrying 16 pound weight in backpack
- cold shower
- 8276 steps
