I've been mulling over this for about a year now. I believe Bitcoin lacks promotion in some ways like word of mouth, reach to non tech savvy people etc.
It's not that I've not been doing my part by occassionally orange pilling someone, though my success rate at it has been pretty low TBH. But having all the worlds time to devote to one cause 'Bitcoin', I really want it to scale up.
Please keep in mind I don't possess too much technical knowledge to build a product or app and living in a country where 99% people are yet to know what is Bitcoin.
Personally I think what works best is simply to explain what bitcoin is and why you're excited about it. No need to try to get people to buy or anything.
My go to starting line when people ask me about bitcoin is: "Bitcoin is basically a decentralized ledger book of transactions, that no one controls, everyone can write to, and yet somehow everyone trusts. We've never had anything like that before"
Usually the conversation turns to "why is that important?" Or "how does bitcoin do that?" If it's the former you can talk about the problems with fiat, if it's the latter you can explain proof of work

When I've someone to talk to, I almost do the same. What I've asked above is how can I promote it, like the promotion or adverts are done these days. I want more people should come asking to me "What is Bitcoin?"
reply
Ah, that's harder, since you don't want to be too pushy.
One option is to wear bitcoin gear or put bitcoin stickers on your stuff, naturally inviting people to ask.
I don't do that though because I don't really want to advertise myself as a bitcoiner.
I sometimes bring bitcoin up in conversation, especially if people complain about inflation, house prices, etc.

I think I should start trying it. The better approach would be to see how this goes.
I'm from India and 100s of million here still live in villages and are not so much into tech. If we want them to attract to something, we need to get it to them. One reason I wanna do it because most people here don't know that "Bitcoin" exists, a some know that it does, and only a few know what it is.

In a country where 99% are unfamiliar, your first job isn't necessarily conversion, it should be awareness

Yup 👍 How?

Educating the masses on what Bitcoin is especially it's characteristics to fiat

Any tips on how we can simply do it ... I'm thinking of travelling around wearing Bitcoin gear and putting Bitcoin stickers on my car/moto.

It's completely normal to have a low success rate with orange pilling, we're essentially asking people to rethink one of society's most fundamental concepts. That's not a small request!

Teaming up with others who are passionate about Bitcoin promotion could amplify your efforts. Collaborative projects often reach a wider audience and bring in diverse ideas on how to engage non tech communities

Being an awesome person.
If you throw community events, volunteer, donate, give good advice, and generally give back, people will ask you how you got rich enough to retire. Tell them all about the most important money.

Depends on your personality. I've been able to explain what Bitcoin is to some friends without pushing it much. I also hope to shop at merchants that accept BTC whenever is possible.

It sells itself.
People just need to understand more about it. Be that guy for anyone that wants to learn.
reply
Find as many merchants as possible near you willing to accept sats and do business with them. Encourage your friends and other business owners to do the same. Strongly gravitate your business to the sat-accepters.

Absolutely agree on this. Get BTCMaps and buy from the shops near you.
What I've also been trying but haven't succeeded in yet is asking smaller merchants of food and coffee shops etc. if they'd consider accepting btc through their phone. But I don't have a good follow-up plan on how to set them up, plus I'm not a smooth marketing talker being able to convince them.
