Someone just posted unsolicited pictures of porn on nostr, and it's just a matter of time until someone flashes child porn or something to unsuspecting people. So not enjoying it at all rn

That will only accelerate the introduction of a) LN payments for network participation, and b) abuse request processing by relays/clients. Both are good and inevitable.
BTW in Damus client pics don't open up if you're not following the sender.

I'll go back to work tomorrow, after a week at home with covid-19. Apparently I'm going to have to wear a mask, which is annoying but...seemingly appropriate. Of course I would rather not have to go back to work already, given I continue testing positive, but apparently that doesn't matter...so I'll be back to it tomorrow! Bills to pay and such.
I did find myself somewhat productive the last week, but mostly I was just playing a video game called "Black Book" and super chill mode.
Why would you ever get a covid test the symptoms and treatment is just the same as the flu. All you are doing is invoking the idiocracy if it's positive so you are better off without one
I got five paid sick days because it was COVID-19, and not a fllu or cold. The idiocracy would not cover the sick days unless they were for covid-19.
So I was better off having done the test, and getting my days off paid, than either going to work sick, or not going to work and not getting paid.

Good morning fellas!!! We continue with the red in the market but it all means, shopping, shopping, shopping, gonna be a nice Christmas for those with a steady vision and DCAing. Next idea - upvote/downvote urls in search with vote events written to nostr. I will be able to use this signal to rank urls better, and other nostr users might build other apps around that data.
I like that idea of using the crowd to improve the search. I played around with your app a little yesterday. It's definitely helpful in harnessing the chaos of nostr, but it would benefit from more narrow search results.
Yeah there is really no 'ranking' in search over nostr now, just plain word match and newest first. Will be building better ranking using engagement and following size as signals. I'm scared as shit of building a full-blown nostr client, but that seems inevitable.
