"free speech" is not freedom to speak.

Free speech is when you are ALLOWED to say something, is a privilege, not a right. A privilege that a CORPORATION will give you in exchange for something.

Ultimately you're right. A free actor doesn't ask permission. You just have to be ready for the attacks you will provoke.

I will argue that a truly free society involves more than just the free actors acting, it also involves people freely choosing to restrain themselves when others act in a way they don't like
