"Free speech is pure bullshit if nobody knows how you are guided to this so-called free speech, especially when it is guided from one hate speech to another."

Yes, it's bad in Euroland. Because Vance was being a dick presentation-wise a year ago it is now acceptable to piss on everything he said, no matter if what he tried to say may have been true.

I'm more worried about the US Ambassador in Belgium though. It will only make the lefties stronger. Imperialist touch... I guess y'all want Europe to be more commie.

Vance is in a tough spot. He wants to be seen as a bigger douchebag than Trump - no small feat.

These guys (Trump, Vance, their orbit) should learn from Reagan. Most people actually agree with their positions, but acting like a jerks is not helping things.

To me the most frustrating thing is that they seem to be pushing people back towards the left

You're 100% correct. It makes no sense. They should pay attention to the messaging.

What makes you think it's unintentional?

Look, maybe you're right. I don't see it as an advantage. I'm not discounting the idea that it's ALL a psy op, but I get caught up in the minutia of the moment. From that perspective, I don't see the benefit of constant alienation. I have to think a more subtle approach would be more effective.

The best way to divorce is by making your partner really want it while thinking that it was their idea.

That gives your spouse ammo for a "for cause" divorce, which costs you more fiat.😀

idk about that. He's just a tool in the box, I think.

The problem is the Euros, bottom line. It was clear years ago that the USG is a hostile foreign entity to them. But they're still operating on a sentiment built by 80 years of post-war alliance that is dead. Why would anyone in their right mind listen to anything anyone in the USG says? It's all a psyop.

reply
It will only make the lefties stronger.

There was never any electoral hope for the right in countries where conservative opinions are illegal. Might as well tell them the truth and if they still insist on suicide then it's their own fault.

reply

If we mean countries in the sense of zhe rulerz of geographical areas then you're 100% right.

Much work to do.

In fact he's right.

"free speech" is not freedom to speak.

Free speech is when you are ALLOWED to say something, is a privilege, not a right. A privilege that a CORPORATION will give you in exchange for something.

Ultimately you're right. A free actor doesn't ask permission. You just have to be ready for the attacks you will provoke.

reply

I will argue that a truly free society involves more than just the free actors acting, it also involves people freely choosing to restrain themselves when others act in a way they don't like

Yes, and cars are bullshit because some drivers may drive to places to commit crimes or hate speech. Or both.

And don't even get me started on what level of pure bullshit oxygen is.
