I've been a Bitcoiner since 2017. It's been rough at times. Not a lot of people IRL understand something we think is so cool, useful, transformative etc. They look at it fearfully or dismissively. And NFTs didn't help at all.
And mass merchant adoption didn't exactly happen. Still can't buy much stuff around town with it. 😶
Just feeling it today. It always feels arduous. Need some hopium.
Bitcoin hasn't even existed for one generation and it's already stressing the corrupt global ruling class.
Just remember that everyone's on their own timeline. We all got to the party early and have the opportunity to get it set up for when everyone else shows up.

"mass adoption" "mass merchant adoption" Everything everywhere all at once.
Its like "Why can't we teleport yet". Like brother chill. You farsighted. Learn what Bitcoin beach did and find out if that works in your town. See if that works in the 2 or 3 stores that you like.
I mean, this looks like a massive list of merchants who have adopted Bitcoin to me: https://www.lightningnetworkstores.com/

I hear you! Thanks

We need more adoption and building. Too many scams and crap has turned people off of the whole concept. 😒 Too many people aren't building. It just feels slow at times.

There's a critical factor that is missing from that mindset. In order to get adoption, that isn't just exchanging from sats to FIAT at the POS, the merchant has to adopt a social construct, which is HARD!
That's why its better to network.
A professional network can offer you many things, but perhaps the most talked about, is career growth. Research shows that people with stronger networks end up with higher salaries and more promotions.
Network with Bitcoiners and businesses that you vibe with. I gave you a link to a whole list of people that accept Bitcoin. Not sure if the beef initiative is on there or not.

Revolutionary ideas take time. Please don't take this the wrong way but our culture doesn't encourage patience. Bitcoin is revolutionary and humans are slow to accept change. Not to mention the tech is still evolving to work with bitcoin.
I just watched this video last night. Its a news report from 1981 about the Internet. So the Internet took a while as well. Just be glad you are getting the chance to front run the elites of the world.
I try to view bitcoin as something that will impact my children and their descendants far more that it will impact me. I wrote some thoughts about this a while back.

I hear you man. I feel this.
But I also am impatient for the world to change. It's like... so many people are too distracted, busy, ignorant, daft, mistrustful etc... to want to change the world.
I just get sort of discouraged sometimes. I know it's a generational and revolutionary shift. But there's a real chance it doesn't ever catch on. Or go mass.
Apathy is a very real pitfall.

Don't focus on what is out of your control. Focus on yourself, and your sphere of influence. Gain knowledge and skills. Improve your life and the life of those around you. You can't control others but if you improve yourself you can inspire others. This is what I try to do.

I hear you. I've been feeling this way a lot also.
The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that there are no alternatives. Literally EVERYTHING looks bad right now. There's nowhere "smart" to put your free cashflows. Everything is centralized and manipulated.
I'm discouraged because the Federal Reserve and other central bankers have turned "life" into an un-fair, lopsided game. Working a job is feeling pointless because I don't want to work for more monopoly paper in their silly game.
I'm also discouraged because I like to argue with shitcoiners in my spare time, and some of the arguments presented by BCH or BSV dudes sometimes make sense.
Ultimately, I'm not bullish on Bitcoin as much as I'm bearish on everything else. Real Estate, Gold, Stocks, Fiat, altcoins.... all flush with centralization and manipulation, closely tied to the Fiat system.
Bitcoin is the only thing that makes sense from First Principles. It really is the only "hope" remaining, even if that hope isn't very strong.... it's the only thing I've got left.

Thansk for the commiserating! Lol....
True. Bitcoin is the asset you can confidently be the LEAST bearish on.
Oh man. This isn't the hopium I wanted but maybe the one I need.

Did this dude invest in Bitcoin and get recked, OR he's regretting that he didn't and now he's remembering what "they said"?
The message could easily be taken either way.....
