Yep, a simple upgrade for a better CPU and memory will be good (if is too old).
Synology is a great machine with good apps and you can access it wherever you are, securely and privately.
Don't complicate things when could be simple.

Yes, I already have my node separate, and I'll keep it that way. I have an older NAS (synology) with photos, music, and some docs that I set up about 8 years ago. It's getting old and slow. I want to host my own email and maybe a few web sites now. I really want an upgrade, I guess.
