Thanks for weighing in. A very long time ago I was asking questions about domains, and you mentioned a few that were "no kyc." Like you said, though, there is still the ICAAN problem. I don't remember the details, but wasn't there mention at some time about hosting a site using bitcoin? Maybe this was just some inscription bullshit, or was it LN? Does this ring a bell, or did I dream it!
You can buy absolutely anything you want with bitcoin. That's not the problem. The problem is that ANY domain will end up in the end to be "filtered" by ICAAN. They are literally 8 - 9 dudes that are under the US jurisdiction, and they keep the keys to the whole internet.
People thinking that internet is decentralized and free are clueless... They just allow us to play around, but anytime can shut down a domain.
Yes, you can run a website without a domain, just an IP, or on several IPs, but that's not the "nice way". And even then they can go for the ISP that is managing that IP and close it down.
They have us BY THE BALLS...
WE NEED A TRULY DECENTRALIZED INTERNET, but right now is almost impossible to have it at global scale. Maybe in some local regions...
And soon they will implement the fucking digital ID, they will have you by the balls again, you cannot contract ANY internet service without gov approval.
WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE! Stop obeying the fucking govs! Obedience goes to tyranny... not laws!
