World is wonderful, a customer just visited my store to pick up an order, he couldn't navigate because of the VPN and we ended up talking about grapheneos and bitcoin, best of all I was impressed by his knowledge. I think we are waking up, without further ado, happy, I love you bitcoiners, there are more and more of us โค๏ธ

Have rewards been distributed for today's posts ? @k00b
reply
Yes, I just manually fired them off. Going to work on fixing this today so they continue going automatically.
reply
Awesome. I have been tracking for a post I plan to do after one month of territories.

Stacking more Bitcoin winter sats. They are heating up and Iโ€™m getting less per day with my DCA amount. Maybe I should DCA a number of sats not a Fiat amount?
reply
@k00b can we get proper "previews" for refferal links too? Pasted the referral URL on noStrudel and the link wouldn't preview until I removed the referral part of the url.
reply
That's weird. It works for on twitter and snort afaik
reply
I should probably have checked more clients, lol. Seems to work fine on Snort as you said so probably a nostrudel bug then.

Is anybody thinking of relocating to El Salvador now that all western governments are becoming more and more hostile and western nations poorer? What are the safest spots in El Salvador? Maybe spots where there is big bitcoiner expat presence?

What do you think will have a profound change in the way we live soon?
I remember a life without smartphones.
A life where you would "check back in the internet when I come back home", etc.
Now many people don't even go to a restaurant before checking reviews.
What do you think will change in the next couple of years?

Typical good job, but it's timely for me. I watched WBD with Gladstein and Booth yesterday. I love that story about the remote village in Malawi that gets 24 hour electricity from the bitcoin mining hydroelectric dam.

Gridless are doing some really interesting work. Power in the absence of a centralised provider has to be a good thing for these communities.

It's pretty surreal to see all the positive media sentiment around Bitcoin now that the big boys have a vested interest in promoting it.

I know. I should like it, but it just makes me wary.

Do ETF providers have an incentive to attack self-custody? Will the ETFs be used as an excuse to clamp down on self-custody now that retail have an "alternative"? Interesting times ahead.
reply
Could be the reason Gensler finally approves spot ETFs.

I'm trying to push myself down this chart:

You're reminding me to get back into bouldering. I think I was climbing at around V4-V5 before the pandemic hit and I lost the habit of going.
reply
same here except that I lost it in the middle of the pandemic after too many lockdowns.
I think I was climbing at around V4-V5
Climbing or bouldering? I feel like I can climb more difficult routes than bouldering - at least according to the grade. But I also noticed it depends a lot on who set the route (since they grade it), what kind of route etc.
I am definitely more of an endurance than strength guy.
reply
Just bouldering! And yes, the setter is important. Sometimes short setters will create routes that are very difficult for tall people, and vice versa. As a tall person myself, my strength / bodyweight ratio isn't so good, but there are routes I can absolutely cheese due to my arm span.
Slow is fast.

yes, taking the time to craft anything and remove the parts you don't enjoy, including life:)
The process is about understanding, learning, and simplifying I think:)
