El Salvador, the first nation to adopt Bitcoin, holds 2,381 BTC (~$70M). With consistent buys and zero sales, they're pioneering a bitcoin future for their citizens. Do anyone knows if it still buying 1BTC a day?
Just found this report and wondering if it’s accurate or just a guesstimate made for clickbiters…
It looks like the data is based on announcements from Bukele on Twitter. It would be better to back this up with two more different sources.

Thanks, any idea from where it could be retrieved from?
reply
I did a quick search and you have to crawl through a lot of FUD.
The most direct way is to ask the El Salvador government. Contact the embassy in your area and ask.

If one is going to ask, I would ask the follow up question:
Where can I find a list of the public address of El Salvador holdings? So I can confirm the on chain transactions.

That's a nice and diplomatic approach! I assume that, being public funds, the information should be publicly accessible... and x isn't an official source, more a marketing platform.
Before knocking on those doors, does anyone know if the information is public or the gov reserve the rights to keep the info private somehow?
reply
I think that this info is private. I've never seen any info about this topic. Some people says that the BTC of El Salvador are hold in Bitfinex, but not sure and not able to provide any source.

Just call the embassy. That's the whole point of an embassy is to answer questions.
Go to official El Salvador government sites and ask the question or FAQ.

So far as I know, this is all based on Bukele's word. No state bitcoin treasury has been set up, no wallet addresses revealed, etc. No problem with that for a person. For a country, it's a problem.
reply
Let's say... it 's could be a problem!

If other nations can join in the Bitcoin a per day strategy then I will say we are half way to hyperbitcoinization
reply
am pretty sure others are doing it already, maybe not publicly yet...
