First thing first, I share this guide not for you to game SN but to help you understand how it works and how you would get rewarded by doing the WORK, and the least discussed part - learn to stack the unseen.

🤔 The Itch

I've wanted to test how it feels to sell things in SN for a while, and there are quite some stackers who asked me when I would sell my crafts, but they're still in the process of being improved, and I don't want to rush things - slow is the real fast.
However, I do want to find out how things would work combined with the web of trust and Bitcoin! So I've been observing what I can help, and then I noticed many stackers are quite confused about how the stacking or reward system works, and that's a good problem for me to solve! This's also a good way to show value exchange, and that's how money works in the first place - I recognized something I can help with, and then you can get my solution for your problem if you happen to find SN a bit confusing; on top of that I'm even sharing some good practices that I learned from trial and error, then we exchange value in sats.

⚡️The Art of Stacking

I've written two pieces on The Art of Using Stacker News and The Art of Using Stacker News II where I touched on the basics of using SN, but you are in the right place if you feel like leveling up the fun!
The world doesn't lack thinkers but does lack doers, so I've put everything I've learned and observed during my 1.5 years in SN into an 12-page PDF with 4016 words.

Some POW

I've been active in SN since 2022, spent the first 9 months quietly learning and observing, and later overcame my fear of writing in English ( not a native, haha ) and started to create more content, with 17 posts and 3248 comments so far, and one of my posts is ranking in the all-time top 10 posts.
If you have ever read my how-tos, you know how much I enjoy simplifying complexity and sharing some tips and tricks along the way! And the art of stacking is a really GREAT read too.

📃 What's Inside

It includes mainly four parts:
Part I. Everything is a Progress
I shared my own experience in SN - starting from 0 and 0 trust, and how different each stage felt: the hardest and longest was from stacking 0 to 100k sats, then from 100k to 300k sats was the second hardest, but then things became so much easier after 500k sats, and then it gets easier and easier, to a point where the cowboy hat no longer matters so much.
I guess that has to do with all the work you have done and the Bitcoin knowledge you've absorbed in the process, so I've concluded a few practices that you can do to level up. 🤠
Part II. Focus on GIVING
The universe is a funny place: generally, the more you give, the more you receive, yet many are focused on how to take from others. But the smart move is actually the opposite - you focus on giving and being helpful to others. In this part, I touch on FIVE ways how to create value for others and share my insight on a few good practices in writing.
Part III. Receiving Value
Value comes in different forms, and not just in sats, but I would break down all the formulas of how the stacking works, even with some simple math as examples to show you how things work both as a stacker and territory founder and how the ranking works in general - knowing the rules of the game before playing is the way, and sharing some of the BEST stacking tips as a reference.
But most importantly, where I help you to see the unseen.
Part IV. My SN Practise
Sharing is caring, where I go over my simple daily practice in detail and with a final bonus!

⚖️ Pricing

16900 sats only - and yes, pricing in sats! Bitcoin standard👌🏽
First-hand experience is rare and hard to find, but you can get it with so little sats now!

How to Get the Guide

Click this link - scan and pay - then you will get the URL to download the PDF!
After playing around with different tools, I decided to test with lifpay to have a simpler experience. I tested with BTCpay with Voltage before, where I needed to invest in some font costs and about $20 ongoing monthly cost, but with lifpay, there is basically no cost upfront and no ongoing ones too. 👀

Refund Policy

If you don't get any value out of it, I'm happy to refund 79% ( yes, I'm taking 21% to avoid abuse).
Simply send a DM to Natalia@Stacker.news , and I would like to know what you don't like about it so that it can help me to improve too.

Honest Reviews

I guess this is part of the building in public - thanks for supporting this experiment, and feel free to leave comments on this page to help me keep crafting my work! 🧡

Also, thanks @mo so much for putting so much great work into ~Agora, and I'm very happy to explore what's possible there; I would definitely happy to share how I set things up and what I've learned after this experiment - learning opportunities need to be created sometimes.
Much appreciate your support in advance⚡️Here is the guide, stack me!

Can vouch for @Natalia's PoW, she asked me a lot of questions on SN and in DMs over these years, lol
And for a lot of these questions, I had to do some PoW myself first since I didn't know the answer either. Which I appreciate since I should know the answers to these questions anyway :)

That's amazing! Congrats @Natalia, not sure if this is your first, but definitely it's the first book sale in the ~AGORA and probably the first book about @SN! Plus, you used Lifpay to deliver the goooood! I remember @VEINTIUNO sharing it on my first tutorial.
Really impressive, Great PoW 💪 keep it up, and really looking forward to eating that book!

Thanks, and I'm taking the opportunity to test other tools too! but so far, I think Voltage with BTCpay might still win. 😂
Wait for my tool ranking post!:) haha

What’s to stop someone from buying the PDF then redistributing it to others for free?
This is really cool btw, I’m not trying to rain on your parade, I’m just thinking out loud :)

Ethics? 👀 Also, if these "hacks" are available for everyone, then it's more "competitive" haha, so I guess people would have less motivation to redistribute it to others for free. just guessing! but I definitely heard you. Isn't it the same for all paid downloads?
So the main point is to understand if it makes more sense to share EVERYTHING for free or share 90% and charge for the extra. 🧪 and the extra bonus for me is to test the tools, and I already got some DMs giving me helpful tips.
See, so many things can be learned with a simple experiment.

Awesome!

thanks! now I'm at the stage of observing how selling knowledge in the V4V world works:) Like, is it making more sense to share EVERYTHING for free or share 90% and charge for the extra knowledge. 🧪
I guess would found out soon!

updated feedback on https://send.vis.ee/
it feels like https://wormhole.app/, but the expiration time is longer, but isn't annoying need to keep updating the file link?
I think I would integrate the stacking guide with BTCpay, as it beats all the tools that I've tried, and I'm already paying the node - do you think it would be annoying if ask for the mail and then send the download link there? 🤔

I don't want to ask for any emails, more work and more friction.
Even in BTCpay, you can set it redirect to somewhere after the payment, but I haven't figured out a way without using email to deliver the download file, tricky 🤔 Maybe it would be nice if have a tool that can send a Nostr DM after payment? But then Nostr is a massive privacy leak point.

The idea of selling a PDF (mini-book) on SN is really cool. I'm sure more people will adopt this method.
I'm always happy to be the explorer - trying what's possible out there! and the sky is the limit.
Both the post and the guide show great POW. I gained value from it, and it was worth the 16900 sats. Anyone who takes SN seriously and wants to level up their stacking will find valuable tips/tricks in this guide. For example, the best timeframe to post and how the stacking formulas work, among many other things.
So glad that you enjoyed my guide! I spent way more time creating it than this post; and now you got all my secret sources - waiting to see more good stuff from you! 🤓
My biggest criticism is the design.
Criticism taken, I would see how to improve it, maybe even offering two options next time - light and dark mode. 😂
On file sharing
I did some digging and tested a few tools and ended up using gofile, but I will have a test with https://send.vis.ee/ too; And one more funny thing, the tools are so lacking in the Bitcoinlandia even trying to sell digital downloads - hard to find a redirect tool with simple design and good security, not to mention if bringing Bitcoin with real world goods, way more hassles, many problems to be solved.
I liked how you mentioned "statistics" instead of "statistics". It's fun and original ;)
Do you mean the stacked and the real stacks in the wallets? Haha, because the stacked ones are illusions, which can easily be pumped, like GDP!
but people should make it a habit to use Metadata/Exif cleaners before uploading files because it can leak a lot of data about you
Marked and a great heads up! any chance you might know any cool tool for it?
And thanks again for taking the time to read and write such great review! I would keep CRAFTING it!:) 🫡

Just created an opportunity to test with emeralize too, but the experience is average so far. 👀
As a creator
  • need a mail to sign up and set up PW - when LN login?
  • marketplace is not really showing your creation.
  • the hosting is showing amazonaws, so it's in Amazon.
As a buyer
  • also need to sign up with mail to create an account - too much friction.
  • nowhere to look where the paid download in.
  • the downloaded redirect was 404, and then who to ask for help?
The only nice thing I can see so far is that the sats goes directly to your LN wallet - curious why @bitcoinplebdev is using it?
reply
Interesting, I didn't even share the link, but someone brought it there 👀 I hope he/she got the download file because the redirect link didn't work so well during my test. ( that's why I didn't share the link in public, but then I guess most likely brought by someone working or using Emeralize. )
I do like the auto notification from Emeralize with Alby tho! I wish other tools could auto notify too.t
  • BTCpay - need to configure with Zapier.
  • Lifpay - need to check manually...

And source identified! 🕵🏽
It turned out I got a shoutout from Emeralize - It's great that I found you here @santos, and I did some digging, nice knowing the story behind it and seeing someone so passionate about building the product.
emeralize's mission is to help individuals become the best versions of themselves and do what they love.
Ikigai: This is the way - there are quite some people who possess lots of real knowledge, and they can easily teach for a living while doing what they love. ( and I'm curious why named the platform Emeralize? )
However, here is some feedback for you: the current stage is too much friction for both sides 👀
Pros
  • payment splitting
  • auto withdrawal
  • LN payment
  • transaction history
cons
As a creator
  • Need a mail to sign up and set up PW - why not LN login?
  • Marketplace discovery is bad - it was even hard for me to get the ebook page before, but I figured out I could get it by clicking the ebook and then adding the number there.
  • The Creator dashboard is confusing - having four options for uploading is too much, and I needed to check all of them before deciding which one to choose from - why not just one? Then creators can upload whatever they want, and I guess most are ebooks or vids, so basically two types? KISS.
As a buyer
  • Need to sign up with mail to create an account too - it would be nicer if buyers didn't need to sign up at all.
  • Nowhere to relook where the paid download is, and if the downloaded redirect was 404, where should people ask for help?
Others
  • The design is a bit outdated, and the theme is really dark; maybe a lighter color helps the learning? Not sure did you checked out gumroad, they have a really lively design.
  • Socials, where is Nostr? I think most Bitcoiners use Nostr or X.
  • The hosting is showing Amazonaws, so it's in Amazon - isn't it better to ditch big tech?
Here is what I've so far, and thanks for building on LN. ⚡️
