On the one hand increased global financialisation suggest more 24/7 and calmer markets whilst the speed of communication provided by the interwebs suggest greater volatility….

I was thinking how Wall Street might be in for a shock one day when some news or event causes a massive weekend price shift. It will be shocking. "Hey, don't you know markets are 9:30-4:00, Mondays through Fridays?"
