That should be already in your knowledge "package", information is easy to carry... tools/weapons don't.
You never go to a trip alone, like in a survival mode?
Life out there is really dangerous. Just a book will not protect you.

An axe would be a great choice and would be on my list if it were possible to add more items. It's true that knowledge could already be part of the luggage, but in all honesty, my knowledge in this area is limited. I choose the book from a long-term perspective and for the purpose of knowledge transfer. Each person will choose a different object because we are all different and have different levels of knowledge in various areas.

true but just think about this aspect: planting and growing stuff, takes time and you can learn it yourself, just by observing nature, testing etc.
The cavemen didn't jumped from caves into agriculture without having first the axe made from stones...
Until a plant will grow and be ready to eat, you need: shelter, fire, food.
You said "There are no houses, cars, tools, nothing." that means not even plants ready to eat. Planting needs fertile soil so you need to find one first. maybe you are at kms away from it.
Taking a book with you... you will die after 10 days and you still didn't grow any plant.

I think it’s also about toxic plants to avoid. Testing is already done (thousands of people died for you, it’s called empirical knowledge) why not just take that with us!? Tools can be built easily with a good survival book. I would not spend a unique choice on an axe.

You will not survive not even 3 days with that book.
You will put all your faith in that book and your mind will not be able to distinguish between the true plants and the ones from the book, because you are too hungry, reading and wasting time.
Also keep in mind that books are referring to specific regions and maybe you are in a different region where those plants do not grow.
