That's actually a funny fact. It reminded me of one I saw on TV the other day. Reindeer eat hallucinogenic mushrooms.

They eat them to stay high so they don't crash land when pulling Santa's sleigh.
The guy who came up with the idea that Santa Claus has flying reindeer is probably the one who ate the mushrooms :)
How do you think Santa’s Reindeer stay up? The fact reindeer eat Fly Agaric and aren’t affected yet the tribal shaman would take a pinch and go into a day long trip to the spirit world gave rise to the idea

From my kids:
"The once common dog name Fido came from the Romans. The name is derived from the Latin word fidelis, which means loyal"
Pet fun fact would be a nice addition to the Dog and Cat territory. What do you think @siggy47?
Heck, yeah! Nothing that territory could use more than a few fresh ideas.
Came back to share some spoils from my winning. I love your fact! Will never think of Fido the same way again
I read this fact, about elephants hating chili, from @cryotosensei and started to wonder if there is any animal that do not hate chili other than humans? I mean, don't they all hate chili? At least, that was my original thought...
I turned to the almighty internet and found the following:
Oh, and they also don't get drunk.
Sauce
Birds don't hate chili. Indeed, chili fruits have evolved to be attractive to birds so as to have their seeds widely dispersed by them after passage (unchewed, as birds don't have teeth) through the bird's gut. At the same time, chili fruits have evolved to be unattractive to most mammals by incorporating capsaicin which 'burns' (irritates) mammals but has no effect on birds.

I would like to share two fun facts specific to YOUR browser extension wallet. The other day I started working on a webLN interface for a browser extension wallet with the most unpleasant UI possible (WARNING - I think I'm succeeding at this). Two fun facts you can learn with it are what your wallet's balance is as a percentage of the US national debt and one random fun fact about the number of sats you have. Vercel may be blocking the latter API in the deployment, but you can at least see the national debt denominated in sats and in terms of your wallet's balance.

There's some part of our mother Earth that is hardest but it still flows or behaves like liquid. That's called the Mantle.
The mantle, which makes up about 84% of Earth's volume, is predominantly solid, but behaves as a very viscous fluid in geological time. The upper mantle, which starts at the "Mohorovicic Discontinuity" (aka. the "Moho" – the base of the crust) extends from a depth of 7 to 35 km (4.3 to 21.7 mi) downwards to a depth of 410 km (250 mi). https://m.stacker.news/20952

When the intruding army would climb the stairs they would not be able to use their right hand which was holding the sword because of the difficulties of climbing the stairs.
