I try not to use youtube anymore... exactly for that.
I just copy the video link and use invidious platforms.

I use Libre tube on my phone, but when I want to watch on a bigger screen on tv I use the youtube app. It's interesting. I don't sign into any google account, but they still tailor my feed.

You could use a proxy like PiHole to deliver the content to your TV, so they could not "watch" anymore what you consume.
They really use our behavior for multiple experiments. We are giving them too much into.
