I try not to use youtube anymore... exactly for that. I just copy the video link and use invidious platforms.

I use Libre tube on my phone, but when I want to watch on a bigger screen on tv I use the youtube app. It's interesting. I don't sign into any google account, but they still tailor my feed.

You run a Umbrel OS right? Install PiHole and setup to be the proxy for the whole network. 1st of all it will filter all garbage and ads. 2ndly will not let Google and YT to spy on what are you watching.
