Nice one :)

Love this song, reminds me of my young years, a rebel without a cause. LOL I was such a rebel all my life.

Skid row gets my blood pumping. Youth gone wild is a track that never fails to get me amped up and feeling great. But 18 and life really shows that even in the slower and slightly softer tracks the vocal range from Sabo

Highly Suspect - Little One
reply
Another banger. Highly suspect is probably my favorite modern old school rock band. Somehow, they sound modern and also like the 90s stuff I grew up on.
reply
I can see that for sure. That makes me think of Imagine Dragons. I'm not into them as much as any of my old favorites by any means (or as much as my kids) but a solid modern band.
There's nothing I can think of comparable to the theme, scheme, and production of those Highly Suspect music videos though. Whew
reply
They kinda remind me of Muse a little. Got that kinda sound, different vocals but that kinda music. I'd not heard of them before, great submission. 👊
reply
This is the older stuff. They have a couple albums after this one that are 🔥 also. Muse is great.

For today I will recommend this amazing beautiful guitar song by Joan Baez. This song goes straight to your heart...
and then listen the same song interpreted by Rob Halford https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIC7KQPDuDc
and same song but in acoustic by Judas Priest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wGlbYpBQdQ
and a more rock rhythmic version here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se9-HI_VjwE

Nice song from Joan Baez, a classical

Imma go out on a limb here and guess you enjoy priest?
That's brilliant from Baez and I also really like Halfords interpretation of it. He's such a fantastic vocalist.

Khruangbin's new album "A LA SALA" https://open.spotify.com/album/1PeC1ckDJSzYHkwo6JHbP2?si=2fcf5b9cb7bc42ee Perfect fit for a Sunday if you ask me. I'm especially enamored by the track "Ada Jean" - I reckon it would be great for sampling or freestyling on. A La Sala (“To the Room” in Spanish) is a palindrome. Now why in the world did they not release the album on April 20, 2024 (palindrome date when in the US format) is a mystery and, perhaps, the biggest missed opportunity with the album.

Thing I learned today: The English Beat's "Save it For Later" started as a filthy joke.

Haha 🤣 great fun fact! And that sax got me boogying good. Meal prep just became rocking and rolling.

I've not heard this FFDP, is this fairly new? I thought I saw a release from them recently but haven't managed to check it out yet.
Sounds great though. I got time for FFDP.
reply
I believe it's a 2022 release. The album is called Afterlife. It's my favorite from that album.
reply
Ahhh I think I heard some of that album but not all of it. I think that's the same time that ad infinitum dropped chapter 2 and I became way to busy listening to that on repeat.
reply
Yeah, I've missed albums that way too!
reply
That ad infinitum album was amazing though. Melissa Bonny's vocals are insane. Awesome sound throughout that whole album.
reply
She definitely is very good, and the band does have a great sound. I've got their first album, but didn't really keep up with new releases. I just saw there's three out now, so I'll have to add them to my list!
reply
Their 2nd album (chapter 2) might be my favourite. Awesome album, the albums themed around the myth and legend of Vlad the impaler or count Dracula. And the way they've put it together is brilliant.
The Legendary Tigerman — Fix of Rock'n'Roll 🇵🇹

Portuguese band?? Very cool. Video was cool too. Great submission 0x 👊
reply
Yes, they are Portuguese. Here is a live performance on Antena 3 radio, 3 years ago, during the COVID.

The Legendary Tigerman — Motorcycle Boy
reply
Oh sweet! Sounds great. I wish more radio stations got artists to perform their tracks in the studio, it just sounds better than having people talk about an album and then play the track. Somehow live in the studio just gives you more of an insight into the artists and sounds better.

I'm still in a covers mood, so here Ghost covering Tina. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMsV7qigmgQ

I love ghost, theyre brilliant and they do a fantastic version of this track.
reply
Have you listened to unreleased Friendly Fire by Linkin Park? https://youtu.be/svK32TbS3g4
reply
No but it sounds great in the video. They must have had so much unreleased stuff and I love hearing it.
This behind the scenes video is fantastic! Thank you for sharing it.
reply
Yeap I like it too. Chester had made Linkin Park perfect. Without him without his scream I can't imagine new songs
reply
I think for the band themselves aswell it all felt like too much to continue on without Chester. They still tour and perform and make it a celebration of Chester which is amazing but you can't write new LP without him.
reply
Xactry. it's hard to move without legs

You've been churning out banger after banger this last week. Some good fun tracks to just dance to. This is really good.

Never got into Rush, but this song is iconic from them. Even people like me that aren't overly familiar with their work knows this track. And it's great. Good shout Roll 👊

Did you know why Judas priest wrote this amazing song "Electric Eye"? It is against the increased surveillance that started with the raise of internet in the 90s, is a signal raised against GCHQ. Pay attention to the lyrics, applied very well today
Up here in space I'm looking down on you My lasers trace Everything you do
You think you've private lives, think nothing of the kind There is no true escape, I'm watching all the time
[Pre-Chorus] I'm made of metal My circuits gleam I am perpetual I keep the country clean
[Chorus] I’m elected electric spy I’m protected electric eye
[Verse 2] Always in focus You can’t feel my stare I zoom into you But you don’t know I’m there
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove
reply
I didn't put those things together until you point them out.
Now I can't think of it in any other way, it's so obvious when you know it.
