i have been stacking as hard as possible since 2020. student debt to stack is about 10 to 6 at the time of writing. i try to pay the minimum toward that debt, while waiting for the fiat paycheck numbers to grow to the amount where the entire debt amount can be paid off in a few months.
-
i am keeping my needs and wants as low as possible. in the past month i discovered that InstaPot can make yogurt, bone broth, and soap, among other things. the kitchen has become a mini lab. things i eat outside the house are mainly beer and ice cream, of the highest quality i can find.
-
i avoid accumulating new debt, and have never missed an in-full credit card payment. however, with the recent price run, i decided to pay the minimum credit card amount for a few months, in order grab the last of the sub-$100k stacks.

almost all retirement accounts have been emptied, except the one at a current fiat job, which will only be accessible after current contract expires. at this time, i have the same opinion on tariffs as Jesus did according to the bible - deliver onto Cesar what is Cesar's. it's the price to pay for continuing doing commerce within the fiat framework.
-
i will never again sign up for a mortgage or a long-term rental contract. i will try to pay in bitcoin any time i get a chance. so far i successfully made a few monthly payments for a short-term rental, thru intermediaries. some payments thru acquiring money orders, others with a personal check from a friend. for rentals, i try to optimize space and distance to fiat job. i bike to work every day: during rain, freeze, or shine.
-
i try to buy food products in bitcoin when possible. at our beer meetup i trade sats for beer. i sometimes purchase a beef box from K&C. tallow for skin. maple syrup. eggs.
-
i made yogurt and sauerkraut at home, which i will trade at the meetup and with friends for sats, as soon as i figure out the packaging and optimal mix for taste.
-
after an occasional trip to a cow farm, i later trade excess meat or whatever products i got for sats. someone said: the correct number of freezers is always one more. However, due to issues of space and in order to remain mobile, i am limited to my freezer and my friend's freezer.

removing myself from physical fiat environment: friends and i have several camping trips lined up around the state and the rest of the country. the ultimate vision is to have a semi-permanent camp that can be assembled and disassembled within a couple hrs. things to consider are being remote from big cities, close to water supply, and shielded from elements. that means big rocks, big trees, and a river/creek near a natural spring source. i still need a high-quality tent, a small quiet generator, and water filter. a great set of books to get is Bushcraft 101 by Canterbury. make no mistake, this is NOT about "leaving society," but about mobility and options, for now.
-
paperwork: this one is tricky, for now all I can say - do not stop learning, and put your signature on as few things as possible. practice saying "no, thank you" or "do i have to do this in order to get '___' "? every paper handed to you is an offer or an invitation, and all of them can be voided, even if they don't seem that way on the surface.
-
final thoughts: aim for an honorable exit from the fiat system, but when SHTF, you will be ready anyway. have fun, have no fear, do not panic, do not over-prepare. be efficient and open-minded.

may the Bitcoin be with you! i am grateful to @DarthCoin for helping me remove the veils of fear and doubt, and offering a glimpse of what a fun adventurous life can look like.

Instapot note - you can also make hard boiled eggs in them that peel SO easily, no hassle at all, ever.
Apparently it's because you're actually steaming them, and you could do the same in a regular pot. Anyway, it makes hard boiled eggs something to always have available.

the eggs made this way are so easy to peel that all that is necessary is peel the two ends and blow into one end. the egg comes out the other.
