Now that I have stacked a nice little bag of sats I have a question for the Saloon...

What BTC wallet do you use that supports lightning? I store my BTC on my Ledger however Ledger claims it doesn't support LN BTC so I don't really want to risk sending it to there. I live in the US and I know some wallets won't work because of that. Thanks in advance!

Some lightning wallets I like: Phoenix, BlueWallet, Alby, Blixt, Breeze.

Thank you for the help! I can't remember which ones I tried that told me they didn't work for my region (the US) and I knew there had to be others that knew of a wallet or wallets that would work!

What I suggest:

drop working for government, take a decent private job or better work for yourself

Just read that an old Bitcoin miner wallet from 2010 just moved 50 Bitcoin to Coinbase. The owner of the wallet hodled all the way from $0.20 to $66000.

Perhaps that's just one of his multiple wallets, if he was there since 2010, he surely didn't stop following BTC and investing in BTC at any point.

You have a point. We will never know. To me, to see a full clean 50BTC reward from first era it is a rarity. Aside from Satoshi, how many original full 50BTC are there? The information is not useless. If there are many, it means we are still to early and that at any point more 50btc rewards will come to be sold. If there aren't many, then it means that the first era is finished and we move to a next step.

I love watching Andrew Sorkin getting roasted by people in the morning over crypto. He just pushed for a former SEC chair to answer if Tether and BTC were a big money laundering issue. The answer he got he did not like at all as the guy pointed to the "digital trail that digital assets leave" and how that does not occur with dollar and how the US needs to get better at stopping dollar laundering!

I watched the new movie "Civil War".

I don't understand why have so high rating and people are excited about.
it was a mediocre movie
the story is shit, the scenes are shit. The whole thing is some "journalists" are going to DC to interview the president and the whole movie is about that journey they take.
it doesn't explain why the civil war started and even during the journey are some scenes where people are killing each others but they don't even know who is the other side and why they are shooting.
the whole movie is a crap cheap series B. Not worth it.

Our home has been invaded by giant black ants. They arrived as a result of a bag of ginger gummy snacks someone other than me left open in the closet. My family is puzzled by the fact that I don't care. Ants don't bother me in the least. I don't mind sharing my living space with them. As a child I could play with them for hours, though I'm sorry to say that "play"often involved mass extermination bordering on genocide. As an adult I try to make up for that by treating them well.

I know this is even crazier, but no one in our family worries about mice but our cat. This is a true story: one morning years ago I am woken up by hearing my wife cooing and saying "aren't you cute? " I knew of course she wasn't talking about me. She had her hand closed around a tiny mouse that had crawled into her hair. She got out of bed and put it outside. I couldn't believe it! Both my wife and daughter like mice.

Oh man. I have many rodent stories. I don't mind mice, but rats scare me. As a kid we had a rat problem in our house. My father had these giant rat traps which I'm sure weren't too expensive. Still, my dad was frugal. If he found out I just threw the rat out with the trap, rather than removing the mangled, disgusting, often maggot ridden carcass so we could reuse the trap, there would be hell to pay.
