Driver

The word Driver refers to a Person who drives a Vehicle, and is considered an act of commerce within the legal court.
The word vehicle refers to the thing used for “transporting people or goods”, which is a service.
Notice the reference to “person”, this is a legal fiction and refers to your legal identity only.
If you accept this title then you have lost your status and have agreed that you are an employee and “consent” to any inspection, and accept the consequences.
Driver Black’s Law Dictionary, 4th Ed. Revised 1968, p. 585: One employed in conducting or operating a coach, carriage, wagon, or other vehicle, with horses, mules, or other animals, or a bicycle, tricycle, or motor car, though not a street railroad car. A person actually doing driving, whether employed by owner to drive or driving his own vehicle. Wallace v. Woods, 340 Mo. 452, 102 S.W.2d 91, 97.
And explain also about the traveler that is traveling (not driving) with his property from point A to point B.

So, if you take a driving job. You automatically consent to searches? That was definitely me at one point.

Any inspection, not only searches, according to local traffic rules. You only have to accept the title, even if you are not working. You don't need a driving license for traveling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mqp-wb_fhI

Wow! Another great learning. I'm kinda wait for this everyday. Today, just got late to learn due to the same issue as I was driving and on the way back home after a short tour. And here I come to realise that Driver is what I accepted for myself.
Can you please tell us how to shard these consents?

Keep learning until you feel it's the right time and place, don't rush into something you don't know the outcome. Take responsability for your knowledge.

A person actually doing driving, whether employed by owner to drive or driving his own vehicle.
What does "or driving his own vehicle" mean? Seems like you're ignoring that part of the definition in bias of the first sentence.

Note that the definition of “driver” includes one who is "employed" in conducting a vehicle. The definition of “employed” signifies both doing a thing and being under contract while doing it. A “driver” who is “employed” under contract is in the service of another, is liable to perform certain duties, and is also entitled to just compensation, for example a taxicab driver, truck driver, bus driver, limousine driver.

includes, but does not seem limited. The most general definition seems to be "a person actually doing driving" but driving itself is not independently define in the law dictionary.

driving itself is not independently define in the law dictionary.
but you can see it in Driver's license any type of license issued by the state authorizing an individual to operate a motor vehicle on public streets, roads, or highways and Driving privileges means the authority granted to an individual that allows the individual to operate a vehicle of the type and in the manner for which the authority was granted.
