Siggy’s Suggestions

Jack Kerouac is well represented in the territory this week. @carlosfandango posted a review of Lonesome Traveller that made it to one of the Top 5 Posts Of The Week, and StillStackin followed it up with one of his poems. Once again, my reason for including this post as a suggestion is selfish. Jack Kerouac opened my eyes as a teenager to a world far removed from my suburban tract house view of life, as he did for so many of my age. He also helped give me a love of reading for pure pleasure.
I know these are both by Stillstackin, but this post was a hell of a lot of fun, even for a guy who struggled through trigonometry.
This week’s Golden Oldie:
This post is packed with some really good book recommendations. I’m glad I looked at it again, since there are many mentioned here that I haven’t gotten to yet. As @cleaningup12 said, “Fantastic thread @gmd 👏 this is a go to for what to read next, for at least a few years for me, I don't read that much, but when I do, I don't put it down This could be a sticky/posted at top if they are a thing here I'll share this on nostr and see if any plebs not joined up, fancy adding their choices. And lastly if you want a basic easy read to lose yourself in. Girl on a train.”

Indeed @StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears is surprisingly very funny at times. Mathematical poetry is way above creativity. Great piece of art!
@plebpoet, as usual, is amazing. I love his poetry. Can't miss stuff!

Amazing poem with mathematics.
I remember when one of my teachers told me that Mathemagics is also apart of language. When I asked the reason she told me yo 'Mathematicia by Newton'. And to my surprise 'mathsmaticia seemed more like a piece of literature than a book on maths.
Also, as I'm not so frequent visitor to SN. THANKS @siggy47 for another newsletter.
