@TomK, can you explain the Popular Front Party? I read that it's a coalition of smaller left wing parties. If these percentages hold up, National Rally would try to put together a coalition government with pieces taken from the left and Macron's party? Is that likely to succeed?
this party is a party founded by LePens' father and is a fundamental French nationalist movement. Its basic orientation is to leave the eurozone and therefore the euro and the European Union. This would shake the overall structure so severely that we cannot estimate what would happen. Bit: the party rejects a coalition with the right-wing party from Germany, which again defuses the entire program. If what happened to Meloni in Italy comes to pass, it will be much ado about nothing. We will have to wait and see what exactly they do.

but in principle everything remains the same! the new parties, including the established conservative parties, have absorbed the left-green socialist program and are pursuing it under their own banner, thus disappointing voters beyond the substance of their policies

the disappointment of the masses when nothing changes after an election and then to see that it is a single party that splits into various small sub-groups that all pursue the same policies, which you can read about very nicely in the wef agenda. this disappointment only annoys me because it is the disappointment of naive little children who think that they have to submit to some political regime and then pray and hope that it will get better. instead of taking life into their own hands
Fact, and there is no way around this. I welcome that the debate on immigration has matured over the last few years. The arguments are now infiltrating the mainstream narrative, they are almost impossible to ignore, and cannot be anymore refuted with the usual "racism" non-argument. The lowering of living standards following the population explosion is difficult to ignore, especially in these difficult times. You can't afford to buy a house, you can't get a doctor appointment, get into a decent school etc. It's real...

You have Reconquête, another right wing party, formed recently around a very polarising figure, Eric Zemmour. Zemmour was Le Pen biggest rival on the right but disappointed during the last presidential elections.
You also have several "souverainistes" parties, they are anti Euro/EU/Nato.
Their views are still in the minority.
The National Rally has moved further to the centre, to attract more voters, and "improve" its image. It's working hard to distance itself from the extreme right, this is why at the EU level, they won't form a coalition with the German AfD, and at the national level, I don't see another coalition with the aforementioned right wing parties.

the worst thing about the right-wing parties in europe is that they are basically left-wing in structure. this is welfare state extreme only for locals. it's always about expanding state activities, regulating trade higher taxes, expanding social benefits for locals etc. Real right-wing or libertarian parties basically don't exist at all
