Coinbase is still determined to consolidate all their MagicEden UTXOs, which are currently at 280,056 UTXOs worth 1.92598040 BTC, all are under 1000 sats.
They are consolidating them with other large addresses so that they don't feel the pain, these UTXOs are costing them around 40-50% their value in fees at 5 sats/vb.

Not very active today. Was hanging out with family and friends at a local ranch that has a lot of fun activities for the kids.
Spent most of the day chasing my daughter and two other little kids around. I am spent.

Do you think we've hit peak DEI? Will we see a swing back towards meritocracy?
Edit:
If we haven't what would it look like if not at least the optics of this failure to protect a former president? Its not a good look.
reply
I think so. I had already started seeing people become more comfortable questioning it at work. Once people feel comfortable questioning it, its days are numbered. That's the nature of meritless things.
reply
Most people do not realize how long it has been a thing. The term isn't that old but the idea at the core has been a movement in its current form for at least 15 years. I remember being sympathetic to it for a few years. It started to occur to me many years ago that it actually breeds more hate, more racism, and more sexism. There are benefits to diversity but there are also tradeoffs but merit based things are not bad on their face. No one wants a surgeon working on their heart that is not the best. Its sad that people have to die for some to see the problems with DEI policies.

The problem arises when the method and ceremonies become the goal and shipping your product on time, under budget, and meeting the needs of the business go into the background. When you have a healthy team and company this doesn't happen. Agile isn't bad per se but the way many companies do it is.
Management tend think its some magical thing that will make their employees more effective. No substitute for effective leaders and teammates.

Took yesterday as a sick day. I'd gotten about two hours of sleep and was essentially non-functional. It's hard to take a sick day when you're unemployed, since that's time not looking for work, but at the same time, worth remembering that writing a cover letter on two hours of sleep is probably not going to lead to any good results anyway.

Fragile System

1/n
Why is the system so fragile?
  1. The government cannot force you to do anything.
  2. They have to tell you what they are doing.
  3. For there to be a valid contract, there must be informed consent.
reply
You know, even if this is true... They're not being honest about it. Some part of me wishes it was 1800 where you hang these fuks. Apparently, lots of people are now aware of the system and are opting out due to the mishandling of covid. It must be too hard to just leave the people alone. Even the ones that were paying taxes. Now, it's like fuk, so many contracts have to be uncontracted that it is a hassle. There should be one button to all of it- given it's all fraud.
reply
Can't expect from criminals to be honest. Covid was the trigger for me too to take this seriously.
reply
Did you do your passport yet?
What steps have you done?
reply
I got no passport atm. Still learning. I got a couple court cases in the works, one to be finished soon, but I'll keep it private
reply
Do you got no passport because isn't needed?
reply
No, just expired few years ago, didn't need it yet. Also, my driving license expired few years ago, still driving :) they stopped me a few times, cops didn't say anything about expired license, go figure
reply
if you do the passport it makes it official - to be a national and you get free reign mostly.
What about ID? or are you using the expired license?

English spelling is so confusing. Did you know that we don’t double x because it is pronounced as ks? So, we spell words like taxing and relaxing.
But on the other hand, we double p because qu in equip is regarded as kwip, so only the vowel i is taken into account. Hence, equipped
reply
lol we use Doxxed! πŸ˜†
reply
Okay, I asked Meta AI why:
The term "doxxed" is a verb that comes from the word "dox", which is a shortened form of "documents". The "x" in "dox" is a nod to the hacker culture and the practice of digging up and revealing personal information online.
The reason it's "doxxed" and not "doxed" is because of a linguistic phenomenon called "pluralization" or "verbification". When a noun becomes a verb, it often gets a double consonant or a changed spelling to distinguish it from the original noun.
In this case, the verb "doxx" (to reveal personal info) got a double "x" to differentiate it from the noun "dox" (documents). Then, when the verb "doxx" is converted to its past tense, it becomes "doxxed".
So, to summarize:
  • "Dox" (noun): documents
  • "Doxx" (verb): to reveal personal info
  • "Doxxed" (verb, past tense): revealed personal info
This might seem weird, but it's a common pattern in language evolution!

Those that want to understand seek many angles with which to view something. Not just ones that support their own views. You can always learn from someone else's point of view.
