There’s a lot of great books on Bitcoin out there but I’m curious to know what your favorites are. The Bitcoin Standard being an obvious recommendation, so is Bitcoin: Hard Money you can’t F*** with.
I’d also add in “Mastering Bitcoin”.
Anyone have any other gems worth reading?
The Bitcoin Standard is unbeatable

Ammous is a legend! He goes a bit off the rails in The Fiat Standard but his rants are certainly good entertainment and enlightening at the seem time.

I think we're a little opposites in this regard 😂 I prefer the more elegantly formulated sentences/declarations over the going off the rails 😬
reply
Oh, so do I, but I find it better to envision Ammous jokingly ranting about art, anarchy and fossil fuels rather than taking it all too seriously.

There is already a lot or rambling rants about us. What I need is a perfectly perfect declaration in a tuxedo that really hits it home

Good suggestions already. I'll add some more:

  3. The Bullish Case for Bitcoin
  4. Check Your Financial Privilege
  5. 21 Lessons
  6. Layered Money
  7. The Bitcoin Standard (history of money chapters good, but parts also bs)
  8. When Money Dies
On my wish list: The Seventh Property

Not a book - but an extension to Nik Bhatia's 'Layered Money' is all of his extensive writings on the Lightning Reference Rate (4 part series):
And now some great new writings from he and Joe Consorti on LNRR
Already mentioned, for both Bitcoin and Lightning - 'Mastering the Lightning Network' by Andreas Antonopoulos is great
And last - not Bitcoin specific, but Ray Dalio's 'The Changing World Order' is excellent and IMO may as well have been referring to Bitcoin throughout

The Little Bitcoin Book is the book i most frequently gifted to people. It was short and i think relatable in a way most people can understand.
The Internet of Money Vol I - III also was one of the first books I read.

I really like the classic The Bitcoin Standard, notwithstanding the weird quirky opinions on art and culture expressed by the author, and I really like The 7th Property, by Eric Yates. I'm reading Bitcoin Is Venice right now, and I'm enjoying it very much.

The Blocksize War by Jonathan Bier I really enjoyed. Almost a historical explanation of how bitcoin is what is it today.
I also think some of the best books that led me to bitcoin weren't about it alone, but more about complexity science and the history of economics. Some include: --> Lords of Finance - Liaquat Ahamed --> Incerto series - Taleb --> The Death and Life of Great American Cities - Jane Jacobs --> Unsettling of America - Wendell Berry --> The Timeless Way of Building - Christopher Alexander --> The Diversity of Life - E.O. Wilson
